Popularity is huge in Asia now and in the future it might change the league more. You can't deny that guys like dirk, manu, Parker haven't had an effect on the league.
Last year we had 8 internationals picked in the first round and 7 in the second. Year before 4 and 13 for those stats including Porzingus.
Just looked at a random nba draft from the 90s; there were 2 internationals in kukoc and some scrub. If the pool of players is larger, in fact much larger you'd guess that the league quality would go up some. It's not like the number of teams in the league has gone up exponentially in the same period.
We've had good/great internationals in the past, now we just have many more. Lin is from the us.....but I guess if you're judging descent that's true. Ming was great for the league and basketball in general especially China.
