Idk reading this thread it seems like the people on the Jordan side are so irrational that there's almost nothing LeBron could do from here to make them change their minds. And with GS as stacked as they are for what will likely be the rest of LeBrons (ridiculously long) prime, I don't think it looks good for him as far as being widely considered the GOAT since most people in the media are still 100% Jordan (and often are afraid to even call LeBron the best current player in the world which is just absurd).

Edit- shaq and Charles both just vehemently referred to him as the best in the world. trying to think who the idiots were this week that I heard put a "maybe" in there before "best in the world".

Agree with this. I said at the time he was sensational, but in the scheme of things it was an overrated series (people were talking about it like it was the GOAT Finals performance, when it wasn't - though obviously he was still sensational). I thought he was better in 14-15.

So bron has to go through Paul millsap, demar derozan, and Isaiah Thomas before the final round. Jordan went through Shaq, Alonzo, and Reggie the last three times he went to the finals.

So it's a combination of terrible eastern competition and having a stacked team. This Celtics team was a healthy Rondo away from being swept in the first round, don't be fooled by this ass beating.

the difference in this entire argument/thread is that everyone in the lebron camp acknowledges that it's close and that it's a pretty clear 1a/1b situation where these 2 guys are in a tier of their own. the lebron camp will point out that jordan had great teams and questionable competition to stress that you can't go 100% based on resume/rings, but there's no outright disparagement of jordan's incredible skill and accomplishments.

I listed the best player on each team to fully define that Jordan went thru hall of famers while LeBron is going thru all stars with no playoff success. This year's Celtics and last year's raptors had gone a while without winning a playoff series before they got to the conference finals.

Can't you say the same thing about team's that would have been considered great in the Jordan era looking worse because he was there to stop them?
