Breakdown by round:

LeBron
1st round: 7-0
2nd round: 4-3
Conference finals: 3-1
Finals: 1-2

Jordan
1st round: 4-3
2nd round: 3-1
Conference finals: 1-2
NBA Finals: 1-0

Interesting that Jordan's 1st round record exactly matches LeBron's 2nd round record, Jordan's 2nd round record matches LeBron's conference finals record, and Jordan's conference finals record matches LeBron's Finals record.

GOAT
This is stupid. I could make the same sarcastic post for Jordan except he was losing a round earlier than LeBron every time.

i think people are ignoring a lot of contextual stuff here, or are trolling hard.
when people mention how awful that cavs team was the point is usually to counter the "jordan never lost in the finals" argument, not to claim that Lebron is better because Jordan couldn't take a bad team that far.

Almost positive that the '08 Cavs weren't favored the Celtics. I know they were coming off a Finals appearance, but they were 45-37 with a -0.53 SRS compared to 66-16 with a +9.31 SRS for the Celtics.

OK, you got me. If only LeBron would have slacked off in the regular season with Cleveland and put up some ****ty regular season records like MJ's Bulls, he coulda been the GOAT. So close.

haha this is great

You all arguing scottie pippen from ****ing southeastern arkansas state or whereever the **** hes from is an "mvp caliber SF" without jordan ever playing with him are delusional. Those scrubs became good role players because they played with the best there was. You imagine playing ball with jordan? You'd definitely step your ****ing game up or else you'd have to answer to him in the lockeroom ...and who knows whats gonna happen then? Yea, maybe that.

and that goes for phil jackson too who coached jordan and a ridiculous powerhouse team after in the Lakers.

LOL, over the last 20 years LeBron CRUSHES Jordan. It's not even close. It's only when you throw in 86-92 as well that's even a discussion.

Pippen averaged 22/8/5 with almost 3 steals a game with a 23 PER during Jordan's baseball season. I think he was top 3 in MVP voting too

Edit: ya, 3rd behind Hakeem and Robinson

Yes, pretty much this. You had LeClown dancing on the sidelines DURING games in cleveland, mugging for the camera and taking pictures of his teammates during intros, copying jordan's number and pregame talcum powder routine. Jordan was an assassin out there who hated losing and held his teammates to his standard. A grown man professional who was the best. LeBron has been hyped since high school and had everyone on his nuts, including most of 2p2 probably, since then. If he had any sort of resemblance of the will to win jordan had he wouldn't have **** the bed so hard in his first two finals

Sorry LeBron actually has fun and isn't some weird psycho egomaniac. While this may hurt him in that he doesn't "scare his teammates into working harder", it also helps him in that he's unlikely to miss a bunch of prime seasons or near-prime seasons due to:

1) thinking he could be as big of a star at baseball as basketball, because he's sooooo great
2) retiring at 34 because he couldn't stand not being the best player in the league

Yes, there's a big difference between first round of the playoffs and the NBA Finals. Also, Jordan missed all but 7 games and playoffs his second season, then put up 63 on one of the all time Boston squads. After getting acclimated to the NBA for a few seasons Jordan NEVER LOST in the finals, you know, the round that determines the champion. So sure, he won one playoff game in his first 3 seasons, then won several more playoff games including every NBA Finals series he entered. Lebron i 1/3 in the Finals, including getting swept and blowing a 2-1 lead. The one season he did make it? Asterisk.

Dancing on the sideline during game action isn't "having fun", it's completely disrespectful to your opponent, and to the game. File it under unprofessional as well.

there is a big difference: great players make the finals, scrubs lose early
