Among offensive players,

His career 73.4 WAR on fangraphs is now No. 47 of all time.*

His 2017-now 25.2 WAR on fangraphs is No.1, ahead of No. 2 Mookie Betts' 22.4.

His 2019 8.6 WAR on fangraphs is No. 1, ahead of No. 2 Alex Bregman's 8.5.

*Only Cobb, Hornsby, and Mantle compiled more WAR by age 28.

7 out of 8 season #1 or 2 in MVP. Amazing. His doubles and triples totals are strangely anemic after how they started. Don't care about SB's but speed numbers seem off. Injury prone for so young. Not odds on for being best ever in my book, but has a shot, which is enough.

.500 means they are in contention for the playoffs with 1/3rd of the league in the playoffs and the other third tanking. There is a recent example of this. I know this is poorly phrased, don't care to correct it.

2016 to 2021: No. 1 in war with 38.8. Mookie Betts is in second with 34.2.

This man is just unreal.

God I wish he could get a full season in. Those last three or four years if he ever played 155-ish games would be absolutely historic and looking like Ruth. Last 4 seasons could be something like 50-45-55-50 HRs while leading league in OB%. Instead he misses a month or or so, or more. Now he's plucked again.
