Hockey taking over SE temporarily, I love it.

This can't be real life.

10 of Luongo's 19 playoff losses have come against Chicago (soon to be 12/21)

they showed his splits on NBC, he is 1.94gaa, .945sv% vs other teams, and like 3.89gaa, .813sv% vs Chicago in the playoffs. this **** be crazy, yo.

Chicago doesn't lose at home, Canucks don't win in Chicago. 22,428 Vince Vaughn-esque douches in the UC will surely prove to be too much to overcome. they'll quit, and be done & cooked by the "...rockets' red glare..." part of the anthem.

LOL LOLONGO!
Clearly the double reverse jinx in action here. Well-played.

Olympic hockey thread(s) was awfully popular for a topic that nobody cares about.

That's just because you guys lost.

Disney had the green light to start filming Miracle II if an American had scored in OT.

Luongo wasnt the difference in the Olympics he had very little to do and he let in some week goals. Bottom Line Luongo hasnt won a game since the first. He hasnt been the difference. Other players also have not stepped up but if they lose game 7 It will be Luongo cant win the big game

ya i dont get that, the olympics were absolutely awesome despite losing. The american squad was supposed to be a nothing team with all of its good veterans to old to compete leaving the american team as a "barren treasure chest." nobody saw GOAB's johnson, parise, quick, miller, the big pavelski, etc making noise and stealing all the headlines by waxing canada on their own home ice and then losing a close final game which could have gone either way, ill remember it forever. ive never literally jumped up and ran around in jubilant celebration after that parise goal (and then subsequently sulking in my couch thanks to crosby).

ORLY?

Canada's overtime win over the United States for the Olympic gold medal in men's hockey was watched in its entirety by about half of Canada's population. In the U.S., it drew the largest TV audience for any hockey game since the 1980 Winter Games.

We also drew the biggest crowd ever for one of the ****tiest superbowls ever, matching THE WORLD WATCHING SOCCER, and 99.99% don't even like the teams involved.

59 > 109 for a football game.

Also 27.6 million watched the whole game.

The average NFL game: 22.2

Except all of Canada. Whether or not you think it is important there was clearly tons of pressure on Luongo from all of Canada and especially Vancouver since it was the host city.
