Roethlisberger: 63.1% Completion, 49.4% SR, 8.0 YPA, 5.4 AYPA, 169 TD (5.0%), 101 INT (3.0%)

Despite having been sacked 124 more times in his career for 728 more yards, Roethlisbergers adjusted net yards per attempt is almost a half a yard higher than Eli Manning's. He throws more TDs and fewer INTs (per attempt), has a higher success rate, and completes passes at a much higher rate.

If you are into EPA and WPA Roethlisberger crushes Eli there too. Roethlisberger's career WPA/game and EPA/play are .14 and .16 respectively. Manning's are .11 and .09.

The only measure by which Eli and Roethlisberger are equal is RANGZ. By any other metric Roethlisberger has been a far superior QB.

Adjusted net yards per attempt PENALIZES QBs for taking sacks and throwing picks. The fact that Roethlisberger has a higher AYPA despite taking more sacks is reflected in their unadjusted YPA. Either way you slice it when Roethlisberger attempts a pass the Steelers gain more yards than the Giants do when Eli attempts one.

Stinkubus is right, Roeth is a better QB than Manning.

I have no qualms with saying Rivers is better, but the difference isn't huge. River's career AYPA is 6.1, he's thrown more TDs (despite effectively playing two fewer seasons). Otherwise their stats are remarkably similar.

Doesn't big rape get to play the browns twice a year? Surely that has helped his stats dramatically.
