Facebook newsfeed after the halftime show was epic. About 30 instant updates and all of them negative.

If I had more energy I'd go find the OOT (iirc) super bowl thread from the year he was on. It was obviously an excellent show, everything about it was great and it was raining which made it even better. And yet one nerdlinger after another was falling all over himself trying to be cool by ripping on it.

Finally someone showed up and was like wtf haters, that show was awesome. Basically an "emperor has no clothes" moment on the internet. After one brave soul spoke the truth naturally a bunch of people piped up agreeing that it was in fact great. Which it was.

I was 6 beers and 1 joint deep and it was only tolerable in a "it's so bad it's good way"

I guess if you expected anything other than this, it would make sense. The reason last year's show was the most depressing thing I've ever seen was that I LOVE The Who, and watching them sound like **** was terrible. I would have hated it no matter what the visuals were like. By contrast, I do NOT like the Black Eyed Peas, so I took it for granted that they would sound terrible (I think they always do), and so focused only on the visuals, which were pretty good, and so I got some enjoyment out of the show.

A lot of people apparently like them for some reason though, and I can see why this show would have sucked from the perspective of someone who likes the band and expected them to sound good.
