While this thread's a bit quiet, I'm thinking of running a baseball trivia in a couple weeks time to get us going for spring training and regular season. Mentioned it in the MLB offseason thread and there didn't seem to be a whole heck of a lot of interest, so I thought I'd mention it here. May need to open it up to general sports trivia if there's not enough interest in a strictly MLB one.

ROUND 3 - HOCKEY
In this round, I am going to describe 5 NHL players (either retired or active) that are part of a larger group. Each correct answer will earn your team 1 point, and your team will earn 5 points if you answer the commonality correctly.
I am looking for a very specific commonality this round.
*** PARTIAL POINTS CAN AND WILL BE EARNED AT MY DISCRETION ***
#1 - 1 point
I was born in 1977 in Montreal. I played for 5 different teams during my career, and made one all-star appearance (in 2009). I retired in August 2014, and at the time of my retirement, I was the last active former Hartford Whaler in the NHL. I was a goaltender. Who am I?
#2 - 1 point
I was born in 1979 in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. I played defense for 7 different teams, and played one season in the KHL before retiring. I wore # 22 for most of my career, but there was a movement late in my NHL career to give me jersey # 64. I was part of the Canadian team that won the 2007 Worlds in Moscow, and I won't be invited to Mike Babcock's house for dinner anytime soon. Who am I?
#3 - 1 point
I was born in 1979 in Edmonton, and ended up playing for (and captaining) the Oilers at the end of my career. I played defense for 4 different teams, and during the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs, I made an obscene finger gesture towards the Montreal fans, which I tried to pass off as an "equipment malfunction". I retired this past September. Who am I?
#4 - 1 point
I was born in late 1973 in Peterborough, ON. I played both wings during my career, but was primarily a LW. I achieved my career-high of 80 points during the 2003-04 season, my lone year in Tampa Bay. I am now part of Carolina's player development staff, after retiring as a Hurricane in September of 2011. Who am I?
#5 - 1 point
I was born in 1975 in Laval, and I wore # 26 in honor of Mats Naslund. On November 28th, 2014, I became the 81st member of the NHL's 1,000-point club. I also won Gold as part of Team Canada in Sochi, but only after Steven Stamkos was ruled out with an injury. That whole fiasco played a part in my departure from my former home of 13 seasons, but on January 13th, I returned, and my number 26 was the first to be retired by the Tampa Bay Lightning franchise. Who am I?
#6 - 5 points What do the above 5 players all have in common? And remember, the more specific you can be, the better!
This round closes at 12:45 pm Eastern on Thursday, February 2nd. Please have one team member submit your team's entry via PM to me.
