Anyway, you sound mad. Why don't you go back to the golf forum, where judging posters based on their golf handicap is encouraged by Tuq.

I mean seriously, you take a positive post I make about one of your heroes and somehow it gets you supremely rustled? Go away. Isn't it enough that you got me banned for telling people I carried a 3-iron in lieu of carrying only 13 clubs? Because you swore I was trolling? I hate you.
You originally said 'A lot of people probably don't even recognize his name' btw.

The 'even' thing was why I picked up on your post. Why did you drop the 'even' from your quoted reply? I realise that most people don't know about him, but the intonation in your post (with the 'even') made me reply as I did.

Color me shocked that this turned into a stats v. unquantifiable discussion.
I know right? Where have we seen this before?

The size of the pool is bigger now and combining that with the resources available, it's pretty simple to understand why.

Fitter/stronger I'm not sure how much I buy in when it's more about flexibility/stability. People with muscles usually suck @ golf more than skinny or out of shape people. There's actually a center of gravity with overweight people because they are ****ing anchored into the ground. Tiger is probably the most yoked golfer that can actually utilize some of the muscles he possesses. But, the body thing is much more about looking aesthetically pleasing to the tv cameras and image, more so than it actually being of use. Tiger has gotten too muscular over the years for injury prevention, and it's probably a hindrance at this point.

It's just hard to say your fit level is going to enhance your golf game with a straight face when Brandt Snedeker tees off infront of the camera and you see Phil and Bubba behind him and someone yells mashed potatoes. If your good then your good, and if you want to get in shape then fine, but I'm not buying it as a major reason with guys like Patrick Reed walking around.

I've been saying forever they should have a 'throwback' tourney once a year. Only equipment from pre 1970 allowed. I think it would be a blast to watch.

My wife's dad plays in one of those at his club. Once a year they do a throwback tourney.
