Just found this game, and then this post. Anybody starting any newbish teams? I have a LVL 2 planned pass catching TE build and a level 2 planned run support SS build looking for a team.

No teams field that low levels, stick them in the D-leagues until something comes up.

Well, there are teams that field low levels, but those are farm teams that have very specific expectations for a new player, and that get killed day in and day out. Probably not a very fun way to start if you're new to the game.

Felix Farragut, in for 31 snaps, 9 tackles, 6 sacks, 1 hurry. Domination, homes...

Damn, slow year in GLB.

The ability to schedule exhibition games against any team in the game is now available (2 freebies per year, then 25 FP for each additional). 2p2 Cup anyone?

We'd get whooped, but it would be good experience for us. I'd do it of anyone is interested.

Woodys are 4-0 after playing 4 boosting teams this season, including the Conference Runner Up who had beaten us 4 times straight before. It helped that our server didn't have the new DE settings right, and their DE is rediculously fast. Then again, so are ours, and we got hosed on it too.

Sultans would play in this as well. Maybe something could be worked out in the draw so that the Pens and Trout would have first round byes. That way we could put off the slaughter until after we had a chance against lesser competition in the first round.

My team is terrible (expansion A 13 cap team) but we'd play if there's room.

Anyone start chars recently, specifically DT/FS, and taking a slowbuild approach? I want to discuss tactics.

Yes.

I have 2 DTs I'm gonna try slightly different approaches with.

I've got a level 7 DT that I've been playing around with. No problem sharing notes/learning from others.

I'm slowbuilding my DT, going to pump str up to 60 or 67 (can't decide which) at the end of the season. Not sure how I want to go from there, however.

Will be joining a team next season that's already got solid pass rushes, so odds are I'll go with a standard route of boosting tackling a bit, then even spread speed/vision/whatever else.

I've got a level 4 DT I'm slowbuilding for the trout. Feel free to discuss here or you can PM me on GLB on the same user name

The whatever else should be agility, and it's gonna be a lot more important than speed for a DT

Its more effective to train str to 48 as soon as you have the points than to wait and assign them all at once. Anyone who advoctes otherwards is wrong, ad this includes about 90% of the people on the GLB forums who think they know how to slowbuild (I'm sure of this for DTs, I have a feeling its different for positions with >4 major skills).

Even if I'm not concerned about performance in season 1?
