Anyone catch qualifying? Based on the results Seb and Hamilton way faster, hopefully have some good reliability this weekend.

One hour to the green light. I hadn't realised how much the sound had changed, it's a shame but this should be a cracking season.

LewHam crushing. Williams might be decent this year. Got the Merc power and a grizzled vet in Massa who doesn't eat team orders anymore.

Are Alonos and Kimi overrated or washed up, or is Ferrari just that permanently mediocre now?

The latter, if not for Alonso's GOATness they wouldn't have had a title shot in the last 6 years.

Ferarri tracking Michael Schumacher.

Having Alonso in there is the only thing wrong with your question IMO

Good to hear, hopefully he continues to make positive steps. Sounds like it will be a very long process.

Casual fan gonna casual fan, but is there a reason that Ferrari sucks at building F1 cars now? Don't they have the kind of budget that RBR, Merc and McLaren have?

If I had to guess, I'd say the extra technology they keep piling on makes Ferrari's areas of expertise less and less relevant.

I thought Lewis made a mistake on his fast lap?

Perhaps but I think it is more that all the talented engineers, mechanics and aerodynamists are with the likes of Red bull and Mercedes. I also don't think Ferrari have the budget advantage they once did.

Yeah, so Nico>Lewis this time, unexpected (though not unexpected that it happens a few times over the course of a season)

Ferrari just lack the areas of expertise that other teams have. They should look into energy drink manufacturing.

They are fatter and lazier and have a higher standard of living than the USA so I guess they just rely on the local nutjobs to watch TV and drink Coca-cola while the race is on.

Rosberg and Hamilton running into each other would make it a great race.
