This will surely unfold as one of the classic transfer situations that I simply cannot comprehend. Everyone will lowball since he's frozen out, several clubs will be interested, then he'll go for half his value cuz REASONS when the second to last interested club turns to a more expensive, less good option - but one that has 3.5 years on his contract (so it's still good value also due to REASONS).

I'm not sure what they Chinese are doing, they can have their pick of almost any of the players we signed this summer plus Carroll, Sakho, Valencia and probably a few others. They can probably have the lot for the same money that they'd have to pay for Oscar. They'd basically have a whole team of utterly underwhelming footballers instead of just one.

We've been linked with Dahoud a fair bit. Guy looks a potential star to me. Reminds me of cesc from his arsenal days. Hopefully get him in.

Other than that, vvd alongside matip would be incredible but there will be a lot of competition I'd imagine. Well def add a forward of some description I would think.

For Arsenal it's IMO:

1. World-class striker
2. Great winger
3. Great left-back

But totally possible that's not available on the market, so in that situation I would stand pat pretty much.

I would like someone slightly better offensively. So often we build up the attack from the left side and his decision-making/crossing isn't the best. But that is slightly nitpicking, I mean no-one has the perfect team. Same thing with Alonso at Chelsea.

Meh Monreal uses the ball very well imo, long-term we need a replacement but not at all a priority right now.

Agree with baids, squad is fairly complete atm when you consider how strong our bench is and the fact that Welbz, Santi and Per are still to be added back to that.
