All that I'll conclude about N'Jie is that when I saw him for Spurs he was suddenly disturbingly far removed from my somewhat lofty Lyon impressions.

One of the most prolonged seemingly never ending transfer sagas this window has been West Ham connecting with one expensive striker-name after another.

I'm sure eventually they'll get someone, but who is still unclear.

Bacca is probably their first choice but rumors has it that he is holding out for something else (which could now be Napoli) while another name Simone Zaza either rejected Wolfsburg, Juventus rejected Wolfsburg or Wolfsburg just went with the Borja Mayoral solution instead which could work out very well for them.

We got £21m for Ibe and Smith (exactly) and will probably get close to £30 for Benteke so our net spend is actually very small.

Think we've bought good players in mane and wijnaldum but I'm afraid we haven't really addressed positions of need in LB and CM. And if karius isn't first choice we haven't addressed the Gk issue. In Klopp we trust and all that just think we've got a year or two to go before we see the magic dust settle and get the results we want.

Grujic is gonna be stud city so maybe there's our cm.

I think we will sign Benteke. We have been sniffing around better players all summer and been about as welcome as notifiable diseases. It would be so Spunk Brothers to have the marquee signing to accompany our move to the athletics stadium to be a Plop reserve.

^ I don't disagree that the Porn bros are full of **** but buying a striker is really the only priority we have this summer.

Maybe they won't go as high as 30m for Benteke but surely they're going to buy somebody.

If not Benteke, then Bony or someone else. I don't disagree that attempts to sign guys like Mario Gomez or Bacca are unlikely to happen but at the same time they did snarf Payet.

and tbh I'd rather swerve Bacca. Gomez I'm not quite sure, probably would do well, he can't be any slower than horse.gif and obviously better nose for goal

I think they'll leave Benteke until late in the window. We will be his best option and they'll use this as leverage on the price. With him and Bony stinking out their current employers and on big wages, they will think there are deals to be done.
