Federer made 3 finals in his age 32/33 seasons, the only reason he hasn't won a couple is that he had to play Djoker in all 3 finals

but it's unlikely Djoker will have to play anyone close to as good as...peak Djoker

who knows indeed, but 90% chance none of them come meaningfully close to the current version of Djoker

8 is a lot, but fair line is probably around 4.5 or 5

3 is less likely than 8. He'll probably be favored over the field in 9 of the next 12 majors and like 40% at Wimbledon. Murray is the only person with a decent chance of beating him, no one else is close. None of the youngsters are coming close to his level until he starts declining hard.

3 or less is way more likely than 8 or more. It looks like the GS titles will be Fed > Novak > Nadal.
I think Nadal has one more French in him, but it looks hard with all the injuries.

What those 3 guys did for past 10 years or so is very tough to emulate, once Novak is done it gets interesting in its own way maybe with lot of random guys in contention day in and day out.

It's crazy how close it got to be 17-15 with the French on the way for a possible 17-16. But yes, there's no way Nadal (or Djokovic) gets to 18 now. Nadal might have one more (probably the French). I was hoping Nadal would win this to be the first person since Laver to have 2 grand slams, but Federer was not to be denied today. What a match!

Can Fed get another this year with some of the others staggering? And I don't believe no one will get 18. Some phenom always comes along and almost all the career records in all sports fall. Yet everyone lines up ready to say "not this one." The ones that won't be broken are the ones where the nature of the game has evolved so much that it makes no sense to be able to challenge. Like 750 complete games. 18 majors is thousands of times more doable than that. Just saying.
