In the CL a few years ago yeh, it was against a french side - can't remember - it was allowed too.

Done it with a corner against Chelsea at old trafford, which was wrongly ruled out and the corner had to be taken again, scored off the corner though.

there's no card, you can take it when you want to, unless the ref told you to wait for the whistle, or you tell the ref to make space for the wall. Messi scored one similar a few years ago, don't remember against who it was, they were in the black shirt. Sevilla's mistake to not put a man in front of the ball right away. Xabi Alonso had one like this disallowed, but can't remember how it was exactly.

there you go

That's the Giggs one.

A quick free kick can be taken by the attacking side in any situation without notifying the referee either verbally or visually and after ensuring there is a distance of at least 10 yards from an opposition player so as not to block the movement of play.

Ceremonial free kick on the other hand are taken only on the referee's whistle after he's ensured the wall is at a distance of 10 yards from the ball.

I don't know if the above is the actual letter of the law, I just quoted it from a website. If it is indeed correct. That free kick shouldn't have stood. The Giggs and Messi ones are fine though. No?

I was curious so I went to read up on it and apparently you're always allowed to take them fast, unless you pass up the option, in which case you can't just change your mind and shoot it before the ref signals it. But it's always your prerogative

I think Nacho's fk is completely fine. Odd but the ball's free there imo.

Gotta lol @Braunschweig for losing 6-0 to one of the worst sides who were promoted to 2. Bundesliga last year and are battling relegation. Incredible.
Meanwhile Würzburg really ****ed up an excellent run til Christmas (27 pts) with only 7 pts from the 16 fixtures this year. They have an away game left at Stuttgart and are truly done for I'm afraid.

Yeah truly a remarkable lol BTSV, I'm loving it obv. Going into the matchday they're up on GD and only the two last place teams left to play while 96 host the best team in the league, and 90 minutes later the promotion race is over. 6-0 loll

Düsseldorf also luckboxed hard to stay up, with hilariously terrible last minute goals both last week (vs Würzburg) and this

Did you see their 2nd goal? I mean lol Glubb and all but that was quite unlucky on our part as well. They didn't deserve to win at ****ing all today.

Apparently UEFA will make a decision in June, after the season ended.

TBH I'd be shocked if one of them was ruled out of the CL.

Should be an easy exclusion for 1 of them, won't happen.

RB become UEFA sponsors is more likely.

they have set up both clubs independently. They'll both be in, this is UEFA we are talking about.

Similar thing happened with Abramovich ages ago and both clubs got to play.

No, they want to give the impression they are independent clubs.

No surprise you believe them.

Yeah, they have done it that way so they aren't breaking any rules. Fiddling the books in a different legal way. UEFA will let them both compete.

Ffs they took Brenardo from Salzburg and manager said "we still have to work out the fee". That's not how it's supposed to work.

Personally fell pandering to billionaires just because is rotten. Dgaf about redbull specifically, so would feel the same if it was the Pozzos or even Ashley.

Said earlier, UEFA gonna make a few quid from RB and they'll be happy. Corrupt ****s.
