I think it's possible Germany could be very close to favorites to win it by the time the tournament rolls around. Groups will decide everything, but if they fade Spain/Holland and Spain draw a tougher group, I think Germany is the better team right now.

I think it's crucial that once we have group threads, they get a "who advances" poll with 6 options rather than a "who wins" poll with 4 options.

Germany is the best national team in the world in my opinion.I thought they were the best team in the WC2010 and they are looking even better now.

Only in their semifinal match imo.

Spain lost to Switzerland and played very even games with Paraguay and Chile.Against Paraguay on the quarters they were creating nothing and had a penalty against on the second half that Cardozo missed when game was 0-0.
Iirc Netherlands also had a clear game winning goal opportunity on the final.
They only scored 8 goals in 7 games.

Germany pretty much dominated every game they played(other than Spain), including a 4-1 on England and a 4-0 on Argentina.Even the game they lost to Serbia they played well.They scored twice as many goals as Spain(although they allowed 5 goals vs 1 from Spain).

it counted though. but i also think germany matured enough since 06 that they are ready for at least one of the cups in the next 4 years. i'm not overestimating todays easy win vs the netherlands but it's fun to finally hang with the best teams in the world again. and if this is not even enough they actually look great playing.

still gonna be a challenge cos 5 - 6 contenders ain't gonna make it easy to capture it.
