Roy doesn't strike me as that type of guy though so I expect him to stick with what he knows.

The thing that is really strange, to me anyway, is that he picked the most difficult game in the group to start the young kid.
There's not much risk these days with all the subs that are allowed. Ashley Young is world class at falling over as though he's been shot with a rifle every time anyone touches him. Walcott showed such great form in the last game that it would be criminal to drop him. He's a confidence player and his confidence must be sky high at the moment.

Uefa to investigate England fans (probably 4 or 5 of them) for attempting to get on the pitch to celebrate.

Wouldn't be surprised if uefa give them harsher penalty than the russians got. incompetent, corrupt bastards.

They will. They'll come out and say its because it's already happened this tournament.

Dodged a bullet not getting him for Liverpool I guess. This is the kind of stupidity that you have to be highly intelligent and educated to achieve.

For any of you that may have Sky+'d the game you can see them trying to invade the 'pitch' just after the 2nd it's not that large a group of people and is dealt with quite easily. It is just the running track they jump down onto.

But yea punish them severely!

I'd swap Young for Ronaldo. People are getting carried away by a couple of lucky goals. The goalkeeper moved out of the way for Walcott's equaliser and Welbeck won't do that again for years. Still go England ! I'm hoping we whack Ukraine win the group and get Croatia in the quarters because Ireland do a number on Italy. This format is far better than the World Cup. It's a pity UEFA are wrecking it to get more games in next time.

Look at the state of Hodgson at this press conference. He looks like an elderly GP who's been accused of manslaughter.

That's defamatory.
