Taking David Silva. Works in a bunch of places, coming off a career year and very versatile.

I think the best player available, and certainly the most dangerous. Robben has been relatively healthy for the past 3 seasons, and his goal output has risen considerably since leaving Real Madrid and joining Bayern. He didn't have his best season last year (that would be 09-10 when he was Footballer of the Year in Germany) but Robben at his best can single-handedly turn a game around by dribbling past multiple defenders and scoring out of nothing. In this respect Robben is second only to Messi, and Robben has a better shot from distance than Messi.

He can be a bit selfish at times, but Robben is one of the few players who can win matches with individual brilliance, regardless of teammates, and that's why he's so desirable. Elite level attacking players are getting thin so Robben it is.

Didn't have the best first season for Barcelona, but way too talented and versatile to drop any further. He got off to a very hot start last season but cooled off in the second half and had some bad misses in big matches. Being behind Xavi and Iniesta on the Barcelona depth chart hasn't helped, but Fabregas was also used as wide forward or inside forward at times, where he performed admirably. For me Fabregas will be either the #10 (CAM) or just CM, depending on how the rest of my team shapes up. For now I'm happy with just locking up another elite attacking talent. Very few midfielders possess Fabregas' vision and ability to make the defense-splitting pass, and he can also score goals in bunches. What's not to like?

fwiw I'm not part of the draft with la6ki anymore,after a behind the scenes dispute. He will be taking full control of the team after it emerged that our current coalition was no longer tenable.

This pick is a bit of a stretch and I expect it to be hated. Not undrafted #5 overall hated, but close.

By far the least sexy pick so far, but there is only one other player left that can run a MF from deep in any sort of way that's comparable. There are better individual players, but Busquets makes my team a lot better, will give me so much in the middle and the wings are quite frankly loaded this tournament.
