This is true. With restaurants, it really matters how the company is managed. Well run franchises can make money. Starting a restaurant from scratch is much tougher. Additionally, they are normally investing with people who have little idea in how to run a restaurant. If you know what you are doing, you can do well. If you are similar to who the ballers are investing with, you are bound to go broke.
