Aside from having Beebe and Craig James, I really enjoyed this one. Some of those old booster scumbags that think they're untouchable...pretty unreal

I liked this one because it was an acutal documentary that didn't waste time with fake drama and conversations. Extra fun because I didnt really know the story. My only complaint is the lighting on the interview clips, everyone looks like an albino.

I missed a few, plan to watch the SMU one in s few days. My favorite was the Dupree one but I missed 2 escobars.

A few assorted 30 for 30 thoughts, which I've been watching a lot of recently;

- The Two Escobars and Guru of Go were tearjerkers for me. I knew about the whole Kimble/Gathers dynamic going in and it didn't matter. Niagara Falls.

- I thoguht The U was a story told at virtually perfect tempo. Not a football fan, it was just an entertaining romp.

- Four Nights in October had to be the biggest disappointment of the bunch. They took a story that's fresh in our minds, told it again, and went over board with the drama. It's the proof to my mind that mind that substance over style is what plays in this series.

- While not the highest of drama, I learned a lot about interesting people I might not have otherwise in the House of Steinbrenner, Run Rickie Run One Night in Vegas, Straight out of LA (Is NWA really the Beatles of rap?), Small Potatoes, No Crossover

The only one I'm even considering not watching is Tim Richmond: to the limit because of my absolute disinterest in racing, but in the end I'll watch it because every episode (except 4 Night of October...so much fluff where there could have been so much more) really taught me something I was glad to have learned.

To have been saved for the final 30 for 30 and supposedly leading everyone to think this would blow all the other ones away, I thought this was disappointing. It wasn't bad, it just didn't live up to the hype of being saved for last IMO. Two Escobar's blew this away in a landslide. Rise and Fall of UNLV bball would have been better and needs to be on next year if there is one.

Anybody else find it hilarious that A&M bought Dickerson a trans am only to have him turn around and drive the car to SMU?

YA, these are the ones that didn't make the cut of top 30. STFU smcarroll.

It amazes me how blatant the SMU stuff was and how much is known now and how much the cheaters feel like they can talk about it now. Every one of these cheaters seem smug and happy about the whole affair. ****ing big12 football.

Bartman one is held off because the director asked for more time, not because it didn't make the cut quality wise.

Also, Pony Excess was the last one because it jived with the Heisman presentation.

I'd have a hard time believing that the SMU one "didn't make the cut" because it was pretty damn good.

and ya, Bartman was held back by director's request

What are we even basing making or not making the cut on? Were there 31 docs or something? It's still 30/30 if so.

i dunno, ask CSC. I think there are actually like 32 docs total, i'll have to check

edit, SMU was the 30th one, but there are still 3 more that are still to be aired which will be in 2011 probably
