That press conference was pretty awesome. No way would a drunk owner ever be allowed to pull something like that today.

LOL @ the CFL in Baltimore. This documentary makes it seem like the NFL really did everything to avoid Baltimore getting a team after the Colts left.

It seems like it did, really. Jacksonville over Baltimore? Carolina? Hard to see those places getting an expansion team before Baltimore did.

I thought the Gretzky one was a lot more entertaining than this one. I felt like those band guys were such massive nerds that I had a lot of trouble really caring about them.

Obviously it was cool what they did, but I think this will be one of the ones I like the least.

Cool people are in band, too. :-(

Ugh, still haven't been able to find the Gretzky one online. Time to go on a search...

Sure they are. But those people weren't cool.

I loved Codebreakers when it aired on ESPN so I was looking forward to this. Both of them were okay, the Colts one being better than the Gretzky one. I kind of felt like I'd seen the Gretzky one before (without being a hockey fan or even knowing the circumstances of the trade before), it was kind of obvious.

What a biased and one sided documentary.

I understand that Levinson is from Baltimore and is emotional about the Colts skipping town, but to not even mention the eminent domain legislation and threats is just pitiful homerism.

They spent a lot of time making the Baltimore mayor look like he was blindsided by Irsay, but the reality is that they were threatening to use eminent domain to take the team from Irsay.

Yes, Irsay was dick. Yes, he was already seriously considering moving the team, but he was pushed into a corner at the end and had no choice but to bail or risk losing his fortune to extremely sketchy government intervention.

Also shameless how they glazed over Modell. If you're going to crucify Irsay, then at least be consistent.

I agree completely with this. We saw 45minutes of heartbreak from Baltimore fans then like 30 seconds of "yeah getting the Ravens was bittersweet, but at least the bands back baby!".

After being way to young to know what was going on when it occured, it sounds like Irsay had a lot of problems and his alcoholism probably adversely affected his judgement in this whole matter.

Tonight's episode looks like it will be interesting. The USFL is a little before my time, and the 2 minute trailer looks like it will be well made.

Tonight looks good. Unfortunately I've been out of town and haven't seen the Colts one, and it's probably going to be overwritten if I don't get home and preserve it before the other starts recording. Is it worth saving? Also, has anyone noticed if they are repeating these? If so I won't bother to make the effort. Thanks.

Thanks mandingo, I'll just let it be overwritten then and catch it down the line.

USFL one though, I predict good things. I was at lunch (BWW wing special FTW, spicy garlic and azn zing what what) and saw a clip of Trump and the Generals with Herschel. Trump owned the Generals? If so he came full circle with Herschel by casting him on the Apprentice last year, although I don't remember them referencing that part of their relationship at all.

It looks like Trump is going to be the villain of the documentary, at least via the commercials, I know nothing about the actual USFL, before my time. I've never been disappointed with the Donald before, so I'll be tuning in.

Simmons podcast that goes with the USFL one is pretty good. The director of it has some good Trump stories and goes into Trump's psyche a little bit and what he was trying to do when he bought into the league. I got a kick out of some movie he directed called Summer Catch though. He said that Jessica Biel can throw a baseball better than Freddie Prinze Jr. Apparently Prinze threw so much like a girl they had to film it so you never actually see him throw the ball to the mound.

Getting anything but Mango Habanero at BWW is a massive fail.

Also, like many others really looking forward to this USFL one.

To be fair, we got five orders of six (18 for me, 12 for the other guy):

spicy garlic
azn zing
mango habanero
bbq hot
caribbean jerk

I have only been to BWW a couple of times now so I'm still in the feeling out phase w/r/t what is best, but today I enjoyed them in the order I listed above from most to least. The caribbean jerk were still pretty good but I wasn't wowed so it is probably going to be dropped from the rotation next time in favor of a new candidate.

By the way, watch where you're steppin with calling my order a "fail", I am the wing MASTER.

The USFL one is pretty good - never knew they snagged so many big names like Kelly, Young, Reggie White, etc.

A lot of Trump hate as well.

lol, all Trumps fault, no one else's. Not the overzealous expansion or overpaying for players, just trump.

I'm pretty sure the documentary hit those topics as well as the Trump one. Really well done imo, and I honestly don't understand why a league doesn't try to startup a spring league.

Next time you're in the midwest swing by La Crosse and we will have a wing battle.
