As much as I love that we're likely getting Stack back (even though i kinda hate him), the whole trade/buyout/re-sign thing is so shady, and it sucks that it's allowed to happen. This is actually the second time the Mavs have benefited from it, too.

I agree, that seems exceedingly lame.

Welp!! devean george is in the starting lineup and bricking threes as usual..........

also anyone else notice the mavs are getting back antoine wright? isn't he a young solid athletic wing player that was a fairly high draft pick like 2 years ago?

well they did add in the 30 day kicker after Ainge traded Payton to the Hawks and he was playing in a Cs jersey something like 4 days later.

If I'm the nets, I am extremely pissed. If I'm a mavs fan, I'm sending a love letter to Devean George right now.

that can't really be a deal breaker though, right? If so, so awesome.

Re: ESPN calls Kidd to Mavericks "Imminent"

Wow, I just lost all respect for Devean George. You ask for a trade, and then this? What a dick.

I still think this will happen...we'll just have to restructure. Maybe we can dump Hassell's contract now.

Re: ESPN calls Kidd to Mavericks "Imminent"

No way he "stops" it. He might delay it, and he might keep himself out of it, but I don't see how this deal dies simply because he's a dick. We could sub in Hassell, ship George to a third team he approves of, or even (I think) use KVH to make this deal bigger. I know Cuban said we wouldn't do that, but he also said the Kidd discussions were dead.
