I see that you included an option lolling at lollerpool, and we all support you on that. But Stu, I submit that we tend to criticize most in others what we are actually worried is a part of ourselves! What I mean by that is that 90% of the lol in lollerpool comes from the fact that as many as HALF of them seem to actually believe the insane things that they post. Crazy, I know. And please note I don't think you do that; I don't think you've gone full plop! But can we agree that you've shown a few tendencies? Exhibit A: you just made a six-choice poll in which one the options is going to get 90% of the vote and also where one of the podium candidates was not even included. Was this a good poll? Perhaps not. But it was a good move keeping it private so your Kane vote is never 100% confirmed.
Spurs are having a wonderful season and would be deserving winners, but it's def involved some luck, and more importantly we overall still have a long way to go quality-wise to get where we actually want to be. I really reallllly hope Leicester fade because hey I like Tottenham and I don't think that 25% title equity with seven games to go is something we can bank on every year, but if Leicester win then hats off to them and it sucks that we have to chase them instead of united or chelsea or yea even arsenal because Lester is such an epic story.
PS I typed it that way as an olive branch, because that's your thing, and even though it is never, ever, going to catch on I thought at least once it might be fun for you to see how it looks.
No worries, just trying for some new EPL talk during this ****ing international break. Thank God we have March Madness, because all other sports over the next two week are ****.
For the record, I never said Wimmer > Vertonghen. Maybe it might have seemed that way, but it wasn't intended. For the past couple of seasons, my two favourite Spurs have been Vertonghen and Eriksen. Some of my other earlier posts mention how highly I think of Jan.
What I meant was right now Spurs have never played better, and Wimmer is a big reason for that. So why bench him? Maybe they can keep Wimmer and make a spot for Vertonghen in the lineup together when Jan returns? Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Walker, Rose..hard to find a spot for everyone..
