You can probably still hear it from the Emirates over the Arsenal crowd when they're playing at the same time.

Oh wait, they won't be this season.

Anyone else watching our brave young lionesses play the hapless Dutch klompen?

This post is only 90% to troll Hoopie

I was having a quiet bet with myself that the whole tournament would pass by without a mention itt.

Will be glad when we go out. Sick of hearing about it when it's clear no one really gives a toss.

Was a great show on C4 a week or so ago about the history women's football.

Regular crowds of 50k in England at one time.

Still won't be watching them play.

Thankfully it's over, hopefully it's just a small 5 minute segment at the end of all the podcasts tomorrow so it's easier to skip.

I wonder why it is that nobody gives a **** about women's football? I didn't grow up with it so I don't have the same emotional attachment that I had, but it's not the standard that I care about (I used to go and watch Hendon FC or Harlow Town play half the weeks FFS).

I watched a bit off it today and it was crap. There were better women's tourneys in the past though, maybe just because we usually ship them though.

Watch that show gramuel, explains why we didn't grow up with women's football.

I’ll look it out but I’m sure I heard/read someplace that the FA back then basically went lol women lets ban them. Ridiculous how that thought process was perfectly acceptable back then.

Entirely different issue and subject that though.

Anyway, it’s because it’s rubbish. I’ve watched or should say tried to watch bits and bobs of it here and there but it’s just boring and quite frankly crap.

Although I do wonder what level these teams would be at. As I wouldn’t watch league 1 football on the telly. I’d imagine it was/is a lower standard.

That's the thing, I *would* watch League 1. Would need some sort of minor rooting interest but I'd still watch it.

Speaking of watching league 1 - just saw the announcement that espn acquired the American rights to show games from English football pyramids tiers 2-4 on their network. Will mostly be streamed online on espn3.

Oh, and the rooting interest is obviously BaidsFC AKA Wigan.

Hendon FC would destroy the world champions.

It's because it's **** to watch. It's unwatchably bad. No one wants to watch U15s football either.

League 1 is so far advanced of womens football in standard it's barely the same sport. League 1 is perfectly enjoyable football, there's loads of internationals down at that level and former PL players.

actual football tonight
08-04-2017 , 05:31 AM
If any reminder were needed, this is why you don't watch wimmin's fitba.

Bollocks Liverpool drew Hoffenheim.
08-04-2017 , 06:20 AM
Should be fun games. Coverage will be insufferable though. Klopp vs Klopp 2.0 on the sidelines.
08-04-2017 , 06:21 AM
Lolpool potential is quite big here.
08-04-2017 , 06:24 AM
2nd leg at magical Anfield though, not worried.

corrupt fifa and their hot balls trying to sabotage liverpool's birthright
