IME as a fellow yank it's good to watch a season prior to picking a team. Also keep in mind those who are televised the most when choosing a side. Don't wanna choose then have to stream every weekend. You can but it's not ideal

EPL is far and away the best viewing expiernece imo. Red zone is great but nothing else comes close.

have you considered picking a team by way of 2+2 poll

I'm 2 seasons of watching in, & have picked teams & a hierarchy, but not just one team & when the teams are close in my hierarchy my rooting interest tends to depend on what different results would mean in the standings.

I basically try to record every televised game, but am not about that stream life.

I have not. Is this a method proven to be scientifically awesome?

Liverpool pros:

* I'm from Boston originally & Red Sox owner has an ownership interest, so would be kind of like extending rooting for Boston teams.
* Coutinho, Mané & Lallana are fun to watch.
* Enjoy to a lesser extent Henderson, Sturridge, Wijnaldum & Milner.
* Thoroughly enjoy that they have a guy whose name is basically American.
* I seem to like red uniforms, & I enjoy their new alternate uniforms much better than those fluorescent things.
* I get confused by everyone's opinions on their manager, but I think he's pretty fun.
* I think Anfield is a cool name for a stadium.

Liverpool cons:

* Not really that into Lucas, Matip, & Mignolet.
* Agnostic on Firmino.
* Name contains the word "liver".

United pros:

* Strong tradition.
* I like DDG, Pogba, & Bailly.
* I like to a lesser extent Rashford, Rojo, Martial, & Shaw, & think the Lindelof signing might be useful.
* Red uniforms, USA #1 sponsor.
* I think Old Trafford is a pretty cool name, too.
* On TV a lot, plus endless budget.

United Cons:

* Strongly dislike Rooney & Fellaini.
* Also not into Blind & Jones.
* Almost feels like rooting for the Yankees.

All games are shown live on nbcsports website or iOS/Android app. It even has a redzone-like stream.

Yes, only you'll need to log in to your tv provider to confirm that you have NBCSN as part of your TV package.

Yeh he's gloriously awkward, that's so great about him especially paired with his calmness on the ball

Yes! He always seems sooooo serious while his arms are doing these weird azz things...

I will try to be more appreciative of this.

Ill make this even easier.

Started watching games regularly 2 seasons ago because my baby started waking me up at 5 every morning & there was nothing else to watch. Now I really enjoy it.

I loved the Leicester run, but hard to get too excited about them last year. I like Liverpool & Man UTD, dislike Chelsea & Spurs (rough season for me last year), & have different opinions on all the other teams in the middle in order to ensure I always have something to root for.

My mom is English & lived there until her early 20s & her mom was a Spurs fan & her dad was a Ham fan, so I feel kind of bad about not like the Spurs, but I just can't get into them. I think maybe because they were trying to get in the way of the Leicester thing?

I think I dislike Chelsea because Diego Costa seems like a giant douche, plus their weird-looking goaltender? I had a similar initial distaste for Arsenal because wtf that hat, but I've come around some because I enjoy watching Alexis play. If he goes tho? Meh.

Anyway, enough useless casual fan thoughts. I'll try to not be annoying.

Ahhh, I thought you were expressing an issue with my judgment of Thibault's looks. I was going to say I'm sure he's ruggedly handsome in some cultures, but not sure whay kind of conversation you want to have about this.

The only keepers I'm willing to countenance relate to wickets & fantasy football (plus my wife & kids).

Boston is North East so you should support a North Eastish prem team. Hull City Tigers or Newcastle utd Zebras

We are all one happy fleet now, but if you persist in using that word, well dont expect a good community experience.

For some reason I could never get into Hull last year, & definitely won't be getting into them now that they're not in the PL. I think maybe it was the way they played? I should enjoy a team named the Tigers with black & orange uniforms, but I never did.

Newcastle is more interesting. I remember liking them 2 years ago & being disappointed they were relegated. I also like that they have DeAndre Yedlin, & I like their uniforms. They are definitely a tertiary team of interest that I will root for in most match-ups, but I don't think I can make them my team without a stronger connection to them. Zebras is also a pretty cool nickname.

Yup, my apologies. Can I say goalie?

Oh yeah I forgot Hull went down this season I thought they were coming up. What a forgettable team

I think Baids proposal might help you + take some of the burden of responsibility from you for when you are wishing you chose a different team
06-14-2017 , 04:26 PM
Sorry to say, but the Zebras was probably a joke. They are 'The Magpies'.

I did a quick search as I was bored and found this from 2015. Not sure if that'll help swing your decision though...

I don't mind taking personal responsibility for my decisions.

Hmm, I don't enjoy Magpies. Nor sex with zebras. They can be somewhere around my 8th favorite team pending style of play.
