He's a good player but after going away with Senegal he was injured far too regularly. Add the arrests, storming out for not being in the first team and general mardiness he has to go really, which is a shame as if it was all about footballing ability I don't think we'd consider selling.

For anybody wanting a sweat in The Championship, I'd heartily recommend a punt on Sheffield Wednesday. You can get 17.0 for winning the league or 5.1 for promotion on Betfair. I think there's some value there but you'll also be rooting for an entertaining side who play attractive football. And you should see plenty of us too cos we'll be picked for the TV a fair bit as Sky seem to love us.

I'm biased obviously but we've quietly assembled a really strong starting XI. IMO, we've done the best business of any Championship team since the beginning of last summer, highlights being: Fernando Forestieri (Watford, £3m), Barry Bannan (Crystal Palace, free), Gary Hooper (Norwich, £3m), Steven Fletcher (Sunderland, free), Almen Abdi (Watford, £4m).

Forestieri, Abdi (with Watford) and Bannan have already showed that they are among the best in the league in their positions. Fletcher certainly should get goals and Hooper will always score even if his all round game can be lacking. Add to these, Kieren Westwood is ~best keeper in the league and Tom Lees is one of the better centre backs in the league (subject to PL interest from Burnley and Sunderland).

While the first XI is strong, there is a lack of depth in some areas. Replacements at CB and LB are not adequate (looks like we're trying to address both areas though). Also, while we're very strong in the middle of the park - Barry Bannan and Kieran Lee are both creative players and work rate must be second to none - we lack the physical beast type of player that most teams seem to have. I think that would be a useful option to have against the stronger teams in the league.

Also, we just thrashed Port Vale 3-0 in a friendly so we're pretty much nailed on to win the league now.
