He did teach us a lesson, and he had solved the game. Put up no money and freroll a chance to win thousands. Sounds pretty solved to me.

He was a different kind of pretentious from ducksauce. Zee definitely knew more actual stuff, but thought he was one of the great minds of our time and the thesaurus next to his laptop comment earlier is incredibly apt. He must have spent a lot of time just constructing absurd phrases and sentences that sound savvy to someone with no knowledge. Unfortunately the thread sussed that out in about 12 seconds and despite telling him hundreds of times he kept at it for years.

Fan was easily a top 10 % poster which makes his scam a bit odd as one would assume he'd come by money easily. Always escrow etc I guess. As for his language trolling I always assumed it's just new age experimental stuff as I'm an old.

Also, while zee/fan is a tosser etc... damn it escrow people you never suspect it until you get screwed.

Even at the $20 fun level Im not going to take it personally if someone wants escrow just in case.

Zee could have just as easily been the escrow in a bet since he had $tatus and a history of paying out debts. I think you're either always taking a risk or paying too large of a vig to make a (reliable) escrow worth it.

Clark is about the only poster in SE that I'd be comfortable with holding onto a decent amount of my money. Problem is that no sane person would give themselves the duty of being the regular escrow guy unless it was in search of profits.
