Wednesday deserve to be ahead at HT against Newcastle. 2-0 wouldn't be unfair. Gary Hooper has been brilliant, putting paid to the theory that he needs half a dozen games to get back up to speed. He's hit the bar and Fletcher has missed two sitters.

Shelvey hit the bar from his own half... was a cracker of an effort to be fair.

I stand by my 0-1 or 0-2 away win prediction.

Huge and deserved win for The Owls. I'm going to take a portion of the credit for my reverse jinxing. Also for staying away from Hillsborough, cos we're **** when I go.

Next week we have a relatively nice fixture at home to Cardiff. Meanwhile, Fulham are away at Norwich and Leeds are away at Newcastle. It's the sort of opportunity to strike a blow to our closest rivals that we've been squandering all season.

Shelvey is a cut above in The Championship.

Quick (odd) question...

When Charlie Adam came on for Joe Allen, he dipped his fingers in a tub of something, smeared it on his shirt and I believe, under his nose and a quick swab in each nostril.

I'm assuming this is some kind of airway opener and also that it's not Vick's Vaporub. Anyone know what it is?
