Yeah that too

But even if he hadn't, I don't see a problem with trying something different in a friendly.

Honestly I'm not too fussed with the side, let Southgate get on with it I say.

Playing Germany shouldn't really be treated as a friendly though imo.

Yeah, there is some value in this view. It's not like players like Livermore and Keane will just phone it in trying to avoid injury for the weekend's games - they know they might not get another chance.

I took out a 1 month phone contract out in January not realising it was actually a rolling contract. Havent used the sim since and today got a bill for February and March. Called them up and they told me you had to phone and cancel. Which I did and they say its a 30 days notice meaning there will also be a payment for April.

They are not budging. Any point in me not paying and just holding firm?

Getting from central london to "Watford" is easy, if you're lucky it's one stop Euston-->Watford Junction, but Watford Junction --> Vicarage Road is ~ an extra 20 minutes, the Harry Potter studio is even further away, I can't imagine going to Watford on a London trip unless I was with someone who reaaaally liked Potter, or I was a Watford fan, or my team was playing at Vicarage Road etc. For the time it takes to go from central London to the Potter studios & have a look round you could walk around Cambridge for a couple of hours or do a bunch of cool things in actual London.

Bastards.

Yep.

****s got me a few times, 30 day notice at the end of 2 year contract and just the start of this month I had to pay £100 bill for a £10pm sim.....180 mins used over the mins package....wasted half hour getting switched from rep to rep when I called customer service, finally got a promise to deduct £30 from the bill.....**** was lying to get me off the phone So don't waste any time calling them.

Absolute bastards.

I often wonder if managers keep informal channels open in these situations. It seems rare that one team goes full strength while the others experiment.

Tbf, there's a bus from right outside WDJ that goes door to door to HP. That being said, I grew up in Cambridge and it's roughly 10000000000x better than Watford.

It's just terrible business. I told them I took the sim out as I was abroad that month and it was a good deal on euro data.

Chances of me using them next time 0%
Chances of me using them next time had they wiped my bill 100%

England very good first half, should have scored a couple.
03-22-2017 , 04:51 PM
Should've gotten a stonewall peno at the very least.

Take it you went with 3? That caught me out as well before, I phoned up saying i'm leaving want my PUK code they said I had to stay with them for the following month as well or can pay to get out the contract. I couldn't believe what they where saying. Basically to play the system you have to phone them up get your PUK code, get a sim card from 3 for the rolling and basically in the same phone call say you want to cancel it and you'll phone later in the month to get your PUK code (only valid for 48h or something). It's a complete pain the arse to save some cash but worth it as you can keep your own number saves you having to muck about with imessage/whatsapp and group chats just become a complete and utter night mare if you change your number.

Interesting, would have thought England would be destroying you as this is a completely irrelevant game :P

the 30 day notice clause is standard in phone contracts and enforced enthusiastically across the industry afaik, but if you dig your heels in and (in as friendly an sympathetic a manner as possible) refuse to back down you can get it waived. Explain that you only believed you were signing a one month contract, insist that the whole rolling contract thing was not adequately explained, keep demanding to speak to the line manager of whichever level call centre staff you get if they refuse to give you what you want, basically be a huge PITA without making them hate you and want to spite you, and you will often get there if you're prepared to grind it out.
