English Football 2016-2017: NOW WITH 100% LESS FANERIO English Football 2016-2017: NOW WITH 100% LESS FANERIO

wow i forgot all about that, and basically the entire fact that shaq even played there

football could use a popovich like figure. you can draw some parallels between his combative handling of the media with a lot of the big name managers, but there is sort of authenticity and honesty about it that is obviously missing when someone like mourinho complains about an incorrectly called throw-in (that was actually correct anyway) or that it isn't fair that his star man elbowed a guy in the head.

Cina,

I'm pretty damn sure that the hack-a-shaq strategy was well in place from Shaq's days with the Magic. This was a tactic that Phil Jackson used with the Three-Headed Monster of Centers for Da Bulls

I thought he should have come on around the same time as Winks. Team had no focal point and it was easy for Soton's defenders.

Poch should be considering starting him v Burnley. Or at the very least giving him 30 mins in the second half.

Oh, and Winks was great again in his cameo. Really not much between him and Dembele.

It was shocking that Janssen didn't come in earlier. If not for the two goal lead he surely would have.. no?

Trippier made some head scratching bad passes and Davies was being Davies. Other than that it's always nice to win the game before the AIDS encrusted international break..

Davies suffers primarily from not being Danny Rose, but the flip side to that is that he's not Kyle Naughton either. He seems a nice guy and content with his role playing 25 games of lesser importance a season. It's interesting to note that he's played 29, 27 and 23* games per season since Poch took over; Rose has played 34, 30 18*.

The point being, he gets lots of football despite being the clear second choice. If we had a "Ben Davies" as backup in every position, I'd be pretty happy with that.

Contrast that with Trippier, who you never know what you're going to get. Perhaps he's just one of those guys who struggles to get the tempo of the game off the bench, but he was pretty bad for 15 mins yesterday. Again, he's a decent enough reserve - at least until/if KWP is ready.

Winks is like the English Iniesta.

Time to pick up the phone and ring Swansea. Could have the English Inieste playing with the Welsh Xavi next season!

I can't think of too many better passers of the ball than Winks at his age, other than ScholesTom Carroll.

His physicality has most impressed me this season. He looked a bit lightweight last season, but he looks like he's put at least 5kg of muscle on, and it's really made a difference.

Wouldn't they be better off ringing Stoke?

It is, I admit, entirely possible...

sorry, last gym question

ive always thought it was 1g of protein for 1lb of lean body weight? after reading reddit now it seems like its 1g for 1kg of body weight. What actually is it? Think i may have been consuming way too much protein

I assume you mean 1g protein/1kg body weight?

So if you weigh 75kg, then 75g of protein (or roughly a 300g steak) is approximately enough per day.

I've always gone with approximately 1g/1kg. When you're training, it's probably better to over-nourish IMO, just to keep your energy levels up and ensure you're getting enough sustenance and vitamins.

Winston Reid out for 4-6 weeks, maybe more, Antonio out for four, Obiang the season. Three of Bilic's biggest players. That cushion...

tyvm. im like 68kg and been trying to consume 120-130g per day lol. i guess ill try to aim for 85-100~ to be on safe side.

If you are trying to make gainz lifting that is nowhere near enough, 120g/day is maintenance level roughly if you want to have any lbm.
03-20-2017 , 08:04 AM
Yeah, I don't think you can overdo it wrt to nutrition. I remember Hugh Jackman talking about eating a whole roast chicken a day when bulking up for Wolverine, but that's probably 20+ hours a week in the gym. There are also a lot of other factors to consider, such as if you want to lose weight, how active your job is, etc.

So as with most fitness questions, the answer is "it depends". 120g certainly isn't overdoing it.

I grew up (basically) in Watford & the idea of visiting on a London trip is ... well ... interesting. If you're a huge Harry Potter fan then by all means go to the Harry Potter exhibit but it's nowhere near Vicarage Road & Vicarage Road is nowhere near anything of note other than Watford General Hospital - the Potter tour isn't even what I would classify as Watford. It's in the middle of nowhere. Roughly an hour by public transport from central London & half an hour by public transport from Vicarage Road (15-20 minutes by car).

I'm grew up not far from Watford and it PG is right, it really isn't somewhere to take a trip to when you are over here.

Pretty sure there won't be anything riding on our match at the Turf on the final day of the season.

We are away at Hull after the international break. If we lose, Sullivan's arse may begin to twitch a little.

I had some drinks with Winston Reid last year. Nice guy. Feel bad for him and WHU that he's out.

Also, isn't Watford just some place you sometimes end up almost going to on your way to Heathrow?

Agree with above two. That being said, if you are keen on visiting, I can offer restaurant/bar recommendations.

Yes. Living Watford is slightly redeemed by it being the GOAT town for air travel. 20 minutes to both Luton and Heathrow, 40 minutes to Stansted and a train to Gatwick that skips central London.

Demand creates supply, it is definitely a place that people want to get away from.

Yank here who's been to Vicarage Road (just a few years after Jay Jay Jay from the USA! earned them promotion). Forget where exactly in London I stayed, but it was near Big Ben and that ferris wheel so fairly central I assume. Getting to Watford by train was super easy, even if it was a longer trip. UK train system is excellent and easy to get to pretty much anywhere.

Watford blew a 2 goal lead in like the last 10 minutes of the game to I think Coventry City. Was my first exposure to a non-EPL (at the time) football ground. There were no seats across from where I was sat on the sideline as it was under construction at the time. I'm sure it looks nicer now. I loved every minute of it though. Gray, English day, with some misty rain in the air. Kid reading his dad the results of other league games on the train back afterwards. Fully enjoyed my experience at Vicarage Road. Went to some pubs but nothing struck me as must see near there nor would I have any desire to stay there if it were avoidable
