Yeah good point - I guess Spurs have Wanyama and Arsenal have Coquelin so neither team really needed to go big on Kante.

we signed wanyama the same window and coq sucks, so no, not really

reality is both probably made a mistake in not trying, but the end result ultimately would have been the same as neither would want to pay 100k+ pw.

Glad someone managed to figure out I wasn't being entirely sincere with that comment.

(Wanyama was obviously a better fit for Spurs though, with his fee/wages ~1/3rd of Kante's)
