Maybe Arse should let Spurs rent the Emirates and play at Wembley instead of them.
05-27-2017 , 12:56 PM
Just gotta make it at least 2-0 before they bring on Drogba.

Wait, is someone actually arguing that City, a team with infinite resources, had a better season than United because, although they won no trophies, they got enough extra prize money from the league to buy 10% of John Stones?

i think mun had a better year personally, but i think the argument would centre on the fact that watching city all year was pretty fun rather than a chore

26th minute incoming. Any lols from Chelsea?

I'm now rooting for the previously unconsidered possibility that Arsenal play like 1970s Brazil today, win the cup in emphatic style, Wenger walks away on a high, Arsenal appoint a trendy new manager and descend into chaos, spending the next decade fighting an annual battle to avoid relegation.

they finished above Utd in the league (by about 10 points) and it could be argued what they did in european competitions was more impressive (maybe, it's definitely close). All credit to Utd for the league cup, obviously.

edit: obviously utd's season is way better for the fans thougs

City were fun this season in a few games but equally just as hilarious as the back which made for some great games.

Valid point although one could argue that we didn't care since getting to the semis.

I'm sorry but City should not have lost that (tie) in Monaco, the defensive from both legs was woefully bad. Although that first leg was game of the season, amazing stuff that night.

I'd imagine it's about what you can control vs what you can't

Both City and Utd have infinite resources so a push here

City way outperformed Utd in the league. How much credit should Utd get for squeaking past terrible competition in the EL?

League Cup is a throwaway and the first and last time people cared about it was when Arsenal blew the final against Bham City

Such standard Welbeck. Has been incredible at everything except scoring.

mark my words: marcos alonso is going to be a top draw manager one day. he's the total package

Should have been up by 2 or 3. Chelsea growing into the game. Going to be a nervy second half.
05-27-2017 , 01:23 PM
Easy 2-0 with a controversial penalty
05-27-2017 , 01:28 PM
Royalblue and fallen hero summed up my thoughts. I think the way they played was painful and a certain amount of weight should be put on city in the CL- though I agree that they should have won he second leg in monaco.

Definitely better for the fans re: utd vs city but I think sort by trophies shouldn't just be taken at face value

I wish as an Arsenal fan I had known that while all those other teams won trophies from 07-14 that their seasons were not as successful because we played beautiful football and won **** all.

If we don't win today I don't care how beautiful we play, I'll take a 1-0 win with 9 more handballs.
