Walker-Peters is 20 or so and will play right back for us along with Trippier is Walker leaves
Thanks, mate, for introducing your young players. I try to follow Premier League, but as far as I remember, they haven't played in the Premier League this season.

Marcus Edwards is our highest rated academy player perhaps ever, there is soooooo much hype around him that honestly unless he turns out to be a **** hot first team regular he won't have lived up to it. Seems unfair to have that weight on your shoulders when you're 17 tbh, but such is life in football.

Saw the greatest thing on Twitter re fpl mini league forfeits

"We have a 20 person mini-league and each manager must attend our end of season curry dressed like the prem manager in their league position"

He could be the next John Bostock.

.... when your manager likens you to Messi.

The Bostock analogy is probably quite apt. I have a feeling he has already threatened to leave over money, and it's just feels meh when 16/17yos have that attitude.

Hope I'm wrong though, and he is indeed on par with Messi.

You definitely wouldn't want to finish in the same position as West Brom.

Same exact thing with wilshere - hyped to **** and then absolutely torn apart before he had turned 20.

Our highest rated academy product by far in recent times was Ravel Morrison, more highly rated than Marcus Edwards, higher rated than Pogba and they played together, and look at him now. Janusaj was also rated extremely highly, I heard a lot more about him than I did Rashford before he appeared for example. Basically it is massively unfair. You can't tell at all how good they will be until they are doing it on the pitch in the first team. How was Kane rated at 17 honestly? I don't think I'd heard of him until he started for Spurs at 19 or whatever.

It's easy to tell with Fabregas or Messi or Rooney because they are literally good enough to play internationally at 17, it's far harder to tell for most others.

Yep, and apart from Angel Gomes (and he's just 16 y/o), the youth team players he named aren't really players that are expected to make it at United.

I see it's already down to 2.7.

I vaguely remember watching Kane on loan at Leicester and Norwich and he was awful.

This is the absolute worst idea. All our American sports are horrible because of meaningless regular seasons, especially MLS, and the structure of football in Europe is so perfect. The only league(s) in the world with a true Champion. every team plays every other team home and away. The Top 4 qualifying for a, in some minds more lucrative, competition is a de facto playoff. And the bottom 3 teams go down to the lower division. It's so perfect and should never ever ever be messed with.

Not often I agree completely with the WHW but here we are.

It is just like his previous Old Trafford existence, except that he gets paid a few hundred large a week for playing in front of a bigger crowd.

Yep. He did not look like a star at all. He didn't really even look like a Prem caliber player.

It is fair to say that someone not being labeled a future star at 16/18/20 doesn't guarantee that they won't be one, but there is probably a decent success rate for players that do earn that label. Sure a ton still fizzle out, but it is an uncertain business.

Yeah I agree with this. I was a huge fan of sports at home (well, except the intolerable MLB), but by the time I was in high school I became bored with how they are setup. I love basketball, but it's an 82 game season where it will be completely predictable and a ton of games don't matter.
05-19-2017 , 11:16 AM
I feel that the NFL season works very well with playoffs, but yes the thought of playing an 82 game season (or even 162 wtf?) THEN having playoffs for like 1/3rd of the teams is ****ing absurd.

When I saw him in that division I said he wouldn't make it in the top flight as long as I has a hole in my arse. Stay tuned for more insights, fellas.

Game changer for Arsenal if he gets control. He'll spend the cash.

Opened my big mouth with an early brag last week, jinx was inevitable. Got to outscore lolOstrich on the final day which shouldnt be to difficult.

Also why are people saying it only pays top 3? I remember being told it would pay out as per PokerStars structure. A 26-man league should pay out like an 18-man stt which is 4 places?
