Well you've offered nothing except for the fact HUD is slow so yeah, sounds about right?

Who was a more consistent and reliable player than him throughout 09-10 when we had our best PL point total?

It doesn't matter much to Pirlo cuz he is unreal on the ball and can evade defenders and spot any pass or possible cul de sac approaching. Hud is way way to contemplative on the ball. He requires far too much time and space on the ball to be effective. Basically the opposite of the Pirlo/VDV type that can manage to be elite without any pace.

Yes most of our team was not consistent that season because of injuries - Modric/Lennon/King ldo among many others + Bale not being used til the second half, but the fact is that the quality needed for fourth in that season is nowhere near enough to achieve it anymore. We can be that good again with Hud for sure, but it won't be enough and fourth isn't all there is to attain.

Re: English Football 2012-2013

any who watched the Championship last year: is Kenny Miller still any good?

apparently Vancouver of MLS just signed him, to go with the recently acquired Barry Robson. Scotland ftw!?

Henrik - no, he stopped scoring in January and didn't start again.

He is a bit of an old fashioned forward in a lot of ways. I have no idea what the standard of play in the MLS is like, I dare say if you look back through his career his scoring record is pretty decent.

Re: English Football 2012-2013

yeah i was aware of him going back to his SPL days with Rangers prob, back when i'd catch a handful of games from that league per year, and prob internationally with Scotland here and there too. don't think i've seen him play much lately, prob just in the Championship playoff from a couple months back (sorta recall him being disappointing and getting subbed off in one match, but nothing specific). hopefully he can find some chemistry with Robson or something, who has shown good passing range already, and that he's a threat to score from outside the box.

How good is Borini? I had never heard of him until he was linked with us.

mmm.... hard to tell really. He obviously owned the chilean league but he struggled a bit in the Libertadores cup against some teams but even Neymar struggles against those teams.

Exactly, you cant predict how a player that was succesful in the chilean league will adapt to a much more difficult league.

Back on football I thought "fabioborini" was what posh London women said instead of fabulous.
