With Riley, who knows? He seems unmovable with blood clots, and IDK how you can ever feel confident. Probably just figures he needs the leverage of Bosh coming back to try and get Wade to give them a break on next year or something.
no biggie according to Omni

he just has to travel via bed

I don't think Toronto will continue to get blown out this badly, but don't think they win a game unless Jonas comes back or Kyle Lowry has a huge game.

"Notable LeBron Stopper". Who the hell even came up with this.

Watched about 8 minutes of the game and it looked like a forgone conclusion so I assume it's Raptors 1-0.

Any team ever gone 9-0 to start the playoffs and not shipped?

Per the radio: of the last 9 teams to start the playoffs 8-0, only 2 have won a championship

'89 Lakers swept their first three series then got swept by the Pistons.

Jonas sounded like they expect him back sometime next week from Doris' sideline report. Now if that time is "next Thursday", well, that ain't good. But Game 4 is Monday.

Man, I had Toronto outright tonight ... going against the grain of what was nearly universally expected. I thought I had a good thing. WTF happened?

cavs are one of the best teams of all time. they have the best player of all time along with 2 perennial all stars and a bunch of talented role players that fit perfectly. they have had a ton of rest.

the rapts arent very good and are proly pretty tired from playing a bunch of games lately.

This Cleveland team is that highly rated?? They sure didn't set the world on fire for 82 games if they're that awesome. I really wasn't counting those first two sweeps as even tests so maybe I didn't show enough respect.

They were 13/1 favorites in this series agaisnt a team that finished one game behind them in regular season. That's a conference championship with 13/1 odds. So maybe I should have figured something was up.

Cavs dealt with Kyrie injury the first what 30 games and a new coach. Not sure if they are Warriors regular season good but they are likely better than just 1 game better than the Raptors as evidenced by the regular season.

cavs look pretty damn legit tbh and the betting markets reflect that - implied 40% or so to rang atm - also rated higher game-to-game

lebron getting this much rest is super helpful

Lue is probably the GOAT coach

I still have no idea how shump didn't tear his knee to shreds when he landed after that yam but I'm glad he didn't

Cavs are and have been title favorites solely because of the pathetic conference they play in. Would have been the 4 seed in the West and lost in the second round.
05-18-2016 , 08:36 AM
We also live in a world right now where lue and BILLY are styling on the league so there's that
05-18-2016 , 09:35 AM
Cavs would have knocked the Spurs out in 5 or 6 in the West as a 3rd seed.

Or knocked out Golden State without Curry for first 3 games as a 4th seed.

Wooderson is nothing more than constantly upset for whatever reason. A world where Cleveland is a top 3 team is nothing to be angry over.

Golden State is the Toronto of the West.

Current-level Cavs vs GSW would have to be the best finals series of all time, right? Or at least super close.

Literal best reg. season team ever vs. one of the hottest teams I can remember seeing in the playoffs.

Andre was a legit Lebron stopper last finals. Obv Lebron was exhausted though from having to do everything so that may have been a factor.

Lebron averaged like 46 minutes a game and had 40+ USG% and 50+ AST% that series, following a series where he averaged 38 minutes, ~40 USG% and 50+AST%. With Love and Kyrie gone, the entire team's defense - and the Warriors had an elite D last year, not so much this year - could focus on Lebron more or less. The Cavs also had to slow down their pace dramatically and rely on post-ups/ISOs to conserve energy and limit transition opportunities on the other end, which made Iggy's defense look better than it actually was. Lebron also looks better physically this year than last and Iggy looks worse.

Also it wasn't like Andre was put on an island, there was so little help for Bron that he got met at the rim pretty often. This year that same type of help D will lead to wide open Channing Frye corner 3s.

Seems weird to use assist % in that way. It doesn't really emphasize the point you're making, though it doesn't really need to as the usage does on its own.

Tien,

Cavs wouldn't have been the 3 seed in the west nor would they have beaten the Spurs in a series.
