I think as a team there far less comfortable over a shorter sharper finish like this than a long climb and will be very happy to see the back of this stage. Today's events definitely mean a lot of very good climbers will get a lot more rope than normal so there could be fireworks.
That's what they did in every stage of the Dauphine this year. Boasson Hagen set a fast pace at the beginning of the climb and when he ran out of gas Porte/Rogers/Froome took over, all of them finished top 10. They'll most likely do the same here and make it very hard to attack.
But some people almost have to attack today. They've already lost over 2 minutes to Wiggins and will get crushed in the TTs. So they should seek every opportunity to attack.
