2011 WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS just started.

There are no spectators there and I don't think anyone will be there for the whole tournament.

I'm not expecting as many hot women as the Scotties either.

Whatevs. GO CANADA.

I unfortunately didn't watch the game, but that sucks with the last stone in the 11th. How did that play out?
Typical Canada, but they really haven't played well this entire tournament, it's a little sick they are in the semifinal now.

Canada needed some crazy raise in the tenth to tie it. They made it just barely (needed measurement). Then we made several bad attempts at clearing guards where we left our own stones, and in the end needed an impossible raise to win.

Wow, just saw Ulsrund stole 3 ends in a row to come from behind vs Korea. He's definitely going to be Stoughton's biggest challenger.

What's it cost to go curling? Trying to find a rink or venue that will allow for recreational curling? Do you pay for ice time or by the game or what?

all rinks will have rec time to curl - generally by the hour or 2

runs probably 25-30 bucks an hour per sheet

Ontario isn't even playing well right now and they are 6-0. Pretty mad that I didn't put down some money on Homan at 3 to 1 before this started. Lol at Jones and Nedohin being more likely to win this.

This will depend a lot on where you live. I'm guessing your in the States http://www.ecsalaska.com/curl/club_map.php is a fairly good resource for finding a place to play. If you mention you are really interested in trying it for the first time I'd imagine that you would get a decent deal.
