Since curling had a decent following during the Olympics and theres some conversation in the NHL thread I'm going to start a thread for curling.
The last game of the round-robin of the Hearts (Canadian Women's Championship) is tonight. Teams still in the hunt:
W L
Saskatchewan (Holland) 9 - 1
Team Canada (Jones) 7 - 3
Ontario (Homan) 7 - 3
NS (Smith-Dacey) 7 - 4
Alberta (Kleibrink) 6 - 4
British Columbia (Scott) 6 - 4
Canada wraps up 2nd with a win over Alberta, Ontario finishes 2nd with a Canada loss and win over Quebec. Definitely a possiblity for tie-breakers for the 3/4 spots in the playoffs. I'd imagine they'll be showing Can vs Alb, game starts @6:30 on TSN.
I've played juniors and now starting in mens at fairly high level so feel free to ask me any questions. Hopefully will have some pictures up later.
Kaitlyn Lawes is way better looking than Rachel, a clear 10 compared to around a 7. Kaitlyn looks even cuter in person and is really cool, but Rachel will go down as the GOAT women's curler AINEC which gives her some extra points. I went through juniors at the same time as them and played with a ex of Kaitlyn and Emma (Homan's vice). Alison (2nd) is the hottest on Homan's team imo.
I have no idea, I watched 1 end of curling at CWG was so disgusted at how badly played it was and turned it off. It was the girls though and that is a great shot.
Jones makes a tap to button against 5 to keep a 4 point lead. Looks like the page playoffs will be Holland v Jones in the 1/2 game and Homan v Dacey in the 3/4 game.
Goofy the girl on the left has no good pictures I can find, and is the one I'm not friends with on fb. So I just posted other pics.
I still remember when the Olympics were on and they interviewed a star Basketball player and asked him what his favorite sport was. His reply was I cant believe I am saying this but I love Curling
The left chick is Lisa Weagle, middle Rachel Homan, right Alison Kreviazuk. Looking on to the worlds a sad note for is Eve Muirhead (below) won't be there after losing out in Scottish playdowns.
Glad Team Ontario took 3rd spot for the page playoff. Just the right amount of enough rest & enough play not to go stale in the page playoffs. GO RACHEL!!!!
Tie-breaker between NS and BC on now for the last playoff spot. Expecting a boring game so I'm probably not going to watch. BC is on a roll and has the experience, but really both teams are terrible and have close to a 0% chance of winning the whole thing.
BC playing just terrible, 6-0 NS after 4. Going to get some work done rather than watch more of this crap. ON matchs up well against NS, really like their chances in the 3/4 game.
