Only in the similar sense that someone like Charles Barkley or Karl Malone's career was a "disappointment," since they were obviously fantastic players who never got a ring. LeBron is past that mark, so he'll never go down with the inglorious label of "best to never win a 'ship," but if he did only win the one, it would seem like he didn't go as far as his talent would suggest he could. "Disappointment" I think is too strong a word.
