I'm too much of a lazy fecker to look it up but I think Pak played a batter at 14, which set a record and they some kind of human carbon dating type thing (I've got no idea wtf they did) and the test came back OK so the record stood.

Then there was Waqar, who admitted in the end that he was a couple of years older than claimed.

otoh the previous record holder was Mushtaq Mohammed at about 15 and a half

- hard to believe he wasn't really 15 given two of his three eldeer brothers all test criceters, so there would have been a certain amount of attention on him. (Ditto Sadiq ldo.) He apocryphally, through lack of power, couldn't hit it off the square but nor could the bowlers get him out.

The chokers tag, will, rightly resurface. Abd doesnt look in a great space - the politics of S.A cricket might be getting to him. Its maybe manageable when u are in form, but, hes had a rough trot, with injury etc.

A very odd result .. but Pak bowled exceptionally well, on a pitch that really suited them.

Eng were 1.22 to beat Bang, (traded higher in-running, but won easily)

Should India be 1.24 to beat Bang ?

Usual story - England don't have the stomach for a big game, in any sport.

You can only admire the passion and WIM of Pakistan. Doubt anyone can match them in that.

They don't seem to have a problem in track cycling or rowing or triathlon, though all three are sports where they spent by far the most money of any country. Certainly the major team sports there's been an issue though.

Should be a good chase here if Pakistan treats these last fifteen overs as a 20/20, going at 6/over at the moment and only two down should allow them to set a target that puts India under pressure

Pak 275-4 after 43.3 .. even game, thou I like India.

Chasing teams have a phenominal record at the Oval .. has a feel, India do it pretty easy, or collapse to 250 all out.

Ireland and Afghanistan made full test members. Two more teams for Australia and India to avoid playing I guess. England will probably take pity on Ireland. I expect Afghanistan won't play many more than Zimbabwe do now.
