Never really understand the concept of hoping to lose money, so a favorite team can win.

I would support the devil v (anyone), if they were paying my rent.

Maybe its just watching so many games, u get hardened to the joys of life.

Anyway .. not, having many joys right now.

Rain is a possibility, but, in these types of situations, they are normally done by Lunch.

I expect to be in the head down, walk pose, a few hrs in.

((Didnt understand 1st session today, and even more, didnt understand comms, saying slow batting was Ok ..)) .. game has proved them right, but, from abetting view, NZ were 3.0 at start, and 3.8 at lunch .. so, mkt thght it was a bad play.

I thought the NZ tactics were awful. If they win it's despite the tactics not because of them.

Even Alistair Cook was rarely as negative as that and he, justifiably, received loads of critism. In this case the commentators were very generous .... Doul even said that the SA bowlers being out there for so long would hurt them when they bowl in the second innings. Wtf?

A lot of stuff happened in this series.

Jadeja: *Says something inaudible*

Wade: Say it when you come down here, mate.

Umpire Ian Gould: Woah woah woah! Excuse me. Ravindra! Come here. Now, there's no point in starting something.

Jadeja: If he starts it, I'll give it back. I don't care.

Wade: No no, now go on and get a selfie with him at the end of the game. (One of his team-mate bursts out laughing loudly)

Gould: All right, let's finish now please.

Wade: Put it on Instagram as soon as the game finishes.

Smith: You know this is his last Test for a while. They go away now.

Gould: Mate, are you going to stop that?!

Wade: Careful of that sword too haan (referring to Jadeja's sword-wielding celebration)

The conversation moves to the next over where Jadeja is now on strike...

Jadeja: I don't understand why the Australian selectors pick you (Wade) for Test matshes.

Wade: Is that right? I don't understand why they pick you outside India.

Jadeja: You don't deserve to play in white clothes.

Wade: How come you don't get picked? Why is that?

Smith: You don't deserve to play anywhere but here.

Jadeja: I play in India.

Nathan Lyon bowls the last ball of the over. Wade starts walking to the other end of the pitch saying, "Well bowled Gary. You're good in all conditions." He then reaches his spot and says, "These two will play. Like every other time they go overseas."

Jadeja soon completed his second successive half-century and celebrated in his trademark style. The sword was out, with more venom than ever. The emotion on his face and in his body language was hard to miss.

Loudmouth aussies. Also funny to see Smith calling M.Vijay a cheat

Australia really aren't close to what they were and, boy, do they hate it.
Hilarious.

Lovely quotes from Kohli:

By the way for those who think this India Aussie series might've gotten a little too heated,

Here's a snippet from the tied test 30 years ago.

Wow, the BCCI posted that? I always like hearing from the stump mic, but that's out of order imo. What would the BCCI do if India were on tour and the other cricket board posted an audio of Kholi being a huge tool? I'm going with somewhere between threatening to pull out of the tour and having a hissy fit.

I really try to like Kohli but I just can't at the moment. He literally couldn't sound more like a spoilt entitled brat.

Kohli is just odd.

I was in a Hotel, having breakfast, and the whole Indian team came in.

Kohli had his bat with him, everywhere he went. Someone else carried his plate.

The bowlers had beans on toast.

This was Durban, maybe 4 yrs ago .. I think it was a draw .. getting too old.

//

In other news, its bucketing down in Hamilton.

Small chance of play, after tea ?

And .. the Pixel watchers (rain radar analysts), got the money.

Draw from 2.8 at close of play on Day 4, was 2.00 by Mid-night local time, 1.3 by scheduled start time, and trained its way downward to 1.01.

(In the interim, a spoofer on Twitter, posted Rain had stopped, and play was about to start shortly).

This was not me, but a Twitterer called Morty .. who people often fall for. Just his post, moved the price from 1.20, to 1.50 !! for fairly serious sums.

If I had been caught out, I would not be happy. He has previous for it .. one day, he will be found, swinging.

Anyway, my tour of NZ is over .. just the 25 hrs flying to look forward to ...and the
IPL jamboree, in a week or so.

Reported on fox sports au.

Turning down a beer is about as insulting as you can be to an Australian. Such cultural insensitivity.

AUSSIE captain Steve Smith has revealed that he he approached stand-in Indian captain Ajinkya Rahane with an invitation to get the teams together to share a beer at the end of a heated series.

It is understood Rahane and a group of Indian players were open to idea of joining Australia for a drink but India’s petulant skipper Kohli refused the offer and forbade his teammates from doing so.

Pretty gutted with that damp squib of an ending

Great showing, Kano showing he is absolute world class taking on a quality attack on less than easy wickets for 2 big tons

I feel for all you tourists that came this summer. It really isn't Scotland like every year, last two summers were very good.

He is awesome. Not exactly full of charisma or anything, but he comes across as a good team guy (not always the case for NZ greats, let's face it).

We aren't playing amateur leagues. They are earning enough money to be able to handle a bit of sledging.

Oh btw

IPL day 1 .. Sunrisers (Warner/Dhawan) v RCB (Gayle/Watson - NO ABd)

Never really had the time to watch this tourny before, and last yrs event, had a lot of v one sided games (trains).

Sunrisers are 1.78 or so, and seems right, if u forgive Warners poor form during the tests.

Gayle will be a 40c wkt, if he goes early. No ABd, will leave a big hole, which Singh/Travis Head, will try and fill.

I like Sunrisers, for an interest.
