Thus far in the tour, when SA have batted first it's been an easy win for them. When NZ have batted first the games have been tight. Unfortunately Sa are batting first again.

NZ's batting looks very weak today. They need to give one of the young wicketkeepers a shot I think, Ronchi's batting is too weak to justify a spot.

New Zealand have had 2 male Olympic Athletics medallists (winning 3 medals) since John Walker in Montreal in '76 and no male World Athletics Championships medallists at all.

Fairly impressive display by NZ .. and sets up a decent finale in Auckland.

Will be interesting to see whether SA play Rabada .. or rest him, given the workload, hes gonna be faced with.

A lot of the batters, dont really seem in great form .. but its possible the bowling is above average.

Shame there wasnt a bigger crowd at Hamilton .. 2200, doesnt seem many .. thou, understand its a re-arranged fixture.

Expect .. maybe 500 for the test ?

pune pitch was officially rated 'poor' by the IOC - india potentially getting fined over it. probably deservedly so

by far the best thing about the first test was warnie getting demolished for his o'keefe criticism. 2nd best thing is i (australian) just got back from india and all anyone wanted to talk to me over there was how badly we were gonna get owned after they whitewashed england. karma

Martin Guptill

The best ODI opener in the world!!

Fantastic knock when most people could barely hit the ball of the square

Great win.

Aucklands decider game on Saturday should be electric!

females though. Plus quite a few in the top 10ish who didn't get medals. Better than cricketers statistically.

Great innings by Guppy. Will he get to be no.5 for the tests I wonder?

Batting looks impossible right now (Aus 54/1)

Can't see them beating India's first inns by too much. Could be in for a great test here

There's no way that Steve Smith can last into his 30s with his current technique right? He seems like he depends so much on hand eye coordination and seeing the ball well and if that goes I just don't see how he can with his technique.

Sure. A great test if you like watching some of the best batters in the world unable to play a shot vs. a bunch of scrub spinners made to look dangerous by playing on a goat track.

More so that it will be a competitive match which should have a few twists

4 realz tho this has been a pretty good innings from Australia. They've been very fortunate their edges haven't carried, plus those couple of near-LBW's on SMarsh...
Another 60-70 on the board tomorrow and it'll be a very tough match for India to get back into

India 213-4 with a lead of 126.

Set Aus no more than 275 for a great chase please

Surprisingly looks like batting may be getting a bit easier

jeez 4 wickets in 9 balls. Seems like it'll be a chase around 175, doesn't seem THAT difficult, seems like its a decent pitch and its not an impossible task.

Yeah Aus should train this from here

Expect Warner to come out all guns blazing, a quick 30 from will be huge
