One heck of a finish in the county championship.

Yorkshire 175-7 needing 240 with 35 balls left to win the title. Middlesex need three wickets, draw gives Somerset their first title.

Worst ever international Aussie bowling attack? I know they have serious firepower to come back in but the guys that played looked like an average state / county side.

Australia will still beat Pakistan at home, they won't handle the fast decks well. South African series will be closer, their stars are getting older and haven't had as much success in the past couple of years as 2008-2014.

The problem with no great sides ATM is far too many series just come down to home advantage, which is boring for the game.

Add Starc and Hazlewood, who I think are fit but were just rested in SA, and they are a different side. If Cummins can get back in there even more so.

Tbh, I think India may be no 1 for a while as they can win away sometimes at least and are virtually unbeatable at home at the moment on the tracks they produce.

Did he really just deny calling Watson a cancer on the sport then in the next breath call Watson a tumor?

He clarified what he said back in 2013. He said Watson (along with some other ****head aussies) was a tumour on the national team and if not dealt with would turn in to a cancer

So he only described Watson as a precancerous tumour, an extremely generous assessment there from Clarky

I think Bangladesh were unlucky there. Personally, I think Shafiul was playing a shot when he was given out lbw. They still had a big task on their hands though, needing 22.

The exchange markets, had Bangs 1.9 favs (-110), as he got out.

It was a tough ask, and I think the spinners would have got the job done anyway .. but, sport is unpredicatble, so, if they could have held it together, who knows ?

Some rain might affect the 2nd Test .. and it will be hard to beat this one.

Well well well - now that the English have utterly failed it looks as though that with the Aussies and Kiwis recently failing too over in the sub-continent that Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have basically solidified that they will be competing for a top 4 spot in the ICC rankings and it has pretty much reduced West Indies to the bottom of the rankings for the foreseeable future.
