Since people who follow other leagues posts here, I'll ask this. Is BCCI's tiebreaker **** legal?. Is it used in any other league?. Seems like the most blatent cash grab I've ever seen.
This is how it works, there is a spending cap on teams, so multiple teams came into this years' auction with $2m cap.
2 teams bid cap on Jadeja. They then enter a tiebreaker and say how much they'd want Jadeja for if they weren't restricted. Chennai says $6m, beats the other team and gets him. $2m goes to Jadeja and $4m goes to the BCCI, WAT?
I mean BCCI seems to do a whole lot of ****ty stuff, which is prolly why Sahara has left them as a sponsor. They make a **** ton off of transfers alone, which is why they have it so often. They also made a lot of money off of the demise of Kochi. Ie if one player has a preexisting contract for 900k, and he goes on the market and a team buys him for 2m, BCCI gets the 1.1m (I believe this happened w/Jadeja as well.)
Yuvraj was diagnosed with a tumor in his lungs the size of a golf ball. He has to undergo surgery and 6 cycles of chemotherapy. I don't know whether the surgery has happened already or not..
Career pretty much over :/.

As for our whitewash.
The batting was a total shambles.
Morgan looks set to be axed, Bell on the chopping block too.

ODI & T20 squads
England one-day squad: Alastair Cook, James Anderson, Jonny Bairstow, Ravi Bopara, Tim Bresnan, Danny Briggs, Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler, Jade Dernbach, Steven Finn, Craig Kieswetter, Eoin Morgan, Samit Patel, Kevin Pietersen, Graeme Swann, Jonathan Trott.
If Patel can't thrive in these conditions, i hope he's dropped for good.
Panesar's bowled better than Swann too. Wouldn't have minded him being in the ODI squad.

How can someone like Ian Bell, who averages over 70 in the last 2 years be so clueless when it comes to spinners?
Cricket has a home bully syndrome problem. Teams are almost unbeatable at home these days but the opposite away. 4-0 and 3-0 just shouldn't happen to the number one Test team.

Ian Bell is the definition of flat track bully.
Actually I think Englands batting is very suspect, and very reliant on being saved by Prior and their bowlers who are unusually good tail enders. Also they get to chase small totals because they got a top bowling attack makes them look better. Definitely not the no.1 team in the world now though - although I have no idea who is - I'd say probably Australia though
Everyone might be crap but in terms of exciting games the last 12 months have been terrific, next Ashes are going to be big as well.

Before this series I was pretty certain England had the best batting line-up in the world along with South Africa. Cook, Trott, Bell, Pieterson and Prior were all in great form and are high up in the rankings. Not even close apparently.

Yeah I would of said the same but thats got a lot to do with how bad everyone is. They probably still have the best line up if you include the fact that Prior is a good batsman, and Broad, Swan and Bresnan are all very capable. Its solid enough, but wouldnt think that its a batting line up worthy of #1. KP is the only real gun with solid players like Cook, Stauss and Trott and backing him up.
