Yeah, never going to make it in test cricket if he can't even go 15 hours without a rash shot.

If i were india i'd play mukund in the last test, i mean Sehwag is twice the batsman Mukund is but the attitude Sehwag showed in this test is just poor. India aren't going to win the test might as well develop a younger player and play someone who gives his all in the field.

I'm probably going to get flamed for this but w/e

The attitude Sehwag showed is one of the big reasons India stayed at #1 in tests for 2yrs. His style is high variance. But he's averaging 50 at 100 strike rate. A pair of ducks coming back from an injury doesn't change what he's done over the past few years. I feel some people are too fast to judge. LOL sample size and all...

of course i'm not doubting his ability to smash the game away from opponents just like that and it's not about his king pair this match, it's just he seemed to come into this game with no hunger and just looked like he didn't care in the field.

I think by attitude he meant rather more than his approach to batting. Sehwag simply left the field to go sit on the balcony yesterday evening. No cricketer at any level should do something like that, let alone an international playing a test match.

I wouldn't blame him considering the kind of bowlers he's fielding to. Embarrassing how bad Indian bowling is. Why waste energy giving it all on the field when the end result is that you'll drain yourself and have nothing left to bat?

I didn't watch yesterday though. I am saying all this under the assumption that he didn't miss any catches or didn't dive for a catch while he wasn't sitting in the balcony. He's not even 100% fit. So, letting a sub fielder take over is no biggie imo.

Not that England really need any help in the batting department but James Taylor scored another century today.

Someone (can't remember who) told a story about Virender Sehwag on TMS recently. They said he was playing for Leicestershire and was dismissed very early on the first day, he left the field and drove straight up to Yorkshire to visit Yuvraj. They didn't see him again until they needed to field. Maybe he hasn't got the best attitude but when he's on form he might be the most destructive batsman ever.

Sehwag was built to fail in England imo. Still he really has nothing to with India losing this series.

Haven't been able to watch a ball since the first day, but been listening to quite a bit of TMS. I love it, but I disagree about Boycott - he's like a broken record (who criticises EVERYONE, always preceding it with "I'm not criticising"). MP Vaughan, on the other hand, is the nuts.

Also, I'm not criticising, but India have seemed pretty poor in this series.

India have been very disappointing. I went on Thursday and their attitude in the field was awful, escorting the ball to the boundary on a number of occasions.

Having said that, they are up against a real quality England side especially in the bowling department. Jimmy has been giving a masterclass in swing bowling this morning.
