McGregor has an advantage other boxers don't have. He is never boxing again, so he bull rush Mayweather in the 1st round and unleash the fury and either he knocks out Mayweather or he doesn't. That's his only chance

why does never boxing again matter? Floyd is as likely as McGregor to never box again, fwiw.

They must be getting enough public money on the CM side to justify the odds

probably 3-4%. i wish i was the kind of person who could bet 15-20% and not sweat it. the only thing that concerns me is the lifelong mental scarring if he loses. floyd is an absolute nut low human being but conor casualfans aren't far off.

That would be quite the feat!

Doubt broken hand would even matter all that much.

I can get -500 is this real? I mean you could reasonably gamble your soul on this bet.

Floyd is more likely to kill CM than lose this fight.

I never bet on sports but I might have to withdraw my 401k for all this free money

Edit: this is seriously the freest of all free monies ever

I'm probably gonna end up with a significant portion of my liquid net worth on this if it stays at -500 and I find an easy way to bet it

So no boxer came even close to knocking out mayweather but this guy will in his first fight?

Like what is the closest anyone got?

You also would think that McGregor would some unstoppable killing machine in MMA rather than being two fights removed from a loss. This is so stupid

Floyd has been knocked down "twice" in his career. The only offical KD came against Carlos Hernandez 16 years ago when Floyd hurt his hand and basically took a knee.

Zab Judah knocked him down a decade ago but the ref incorrectly ruled in a slip.

What is the rig equity for real though? Don't think odds will grow to more than 25:1 but beyond that I'm not sure it's a great bet even though Floyd would ~never lose a legit match vs cm

Floyd's a weathered fighter. He's 40 years of age. Conors got the size, he's got the length, the yout. All it takes is one shot on the dome in there and he takes Floyd's head clean off.

Mark my words it's gonna be 2nd round KO.

This thread is donkerific . So much potential butt hurt.
Patriots / Cardinals
Giants / Patriots
Reds/ As
Buster / Tyson
Rigged judges / 10-15 MMA&Boxing favorites that obviously won
THEDONALD / humanity

You guys are talking about a sport where 1 mistake in a split second can result in even the most unexpected losses . People are talking about risking net worth on the most crooked sport ( sans jai lia ) there is ? Please use caution folks and throw out the math models, handicapping and common sense . There are dollars , money , and boxing involved. Browse the history of this combination and tread lightly .

Few sporting events have prices dictated by public dollars but this will be one of those rare occurrences. There is nothing glamorous about being around the water cooler and telling people you told them so if FM wins. Risk $$ on CM and cash, well you are a hero, at least in your own mind. FM $$ will come late and hard, but Tom, Dick, and Harry are not tieing up 6 + to 1 on FM for the next 2.5 months . Everyone that goes to Vegas until the fight is coming home with a little slice of Ireland . The lines makers would all most likely agree with people itt that the price should be much higher, but the volume of CM tickets is going to force them to limit their liability and essentially let sharps book this fight with them.

that's kind of where i'm at . you can never count out a fix in boxing esp since a rematch would do amazing money if conor won but the thing is floyd has already trademarked 50-0 for his TMT apparel and **** and by every account imaginable he is so proud that i just cannot imagine him ever diving even for that much money. if there were rumors of him going broke like pacquiao or something i could see it but he seems so proud of his TBE bull**** that i just don't see it happening. even if conor had the judges rigged to the gills i would be okay cuz im pretty damn confident floyd knocks him out. i can't imagine any close rounds

the slightest chance of riggage would make me hesitant to bet like 1-25 but 1-8 is just absurd

fwiw the kelly criterion calculator online that i looked at this morning i put in a conservative estimate of floyd winning 95% of the time and the odds at 1-8 and it said bet 25% of roll. i don't know how accurate that is though i wont pretend to be a good sports gambler or anything. i wish i still had more poker money as i feel like as a young person this is a legitimate good investment opp
