Yes it's as close to a lock as possible but I have seen enough guys twist ankles, wrench backs and throw out shoulders. Just in March Bellew beat Haye by doing nothing but evade Haye's best shots and get lucky that Haye popped an achilles heel.

When was the last time Mayweather fought someone who realistically had as little of a chance as McGregor? I can't imagine it was anytime since he won titles. The real equity here has to be tiny.

Endless money for McGregor on Betfair, now 5.5. Considerably shorter than Cotto was, albeit 5 years ago.

Couldn't resist - just put £100 on Floyd to win £22. Seems like free money, but it's a win-win as I'd love to see that pos get beaten.

Only Canelo and Manny were shorter to beat Floyd in recent years than McGregor is.

Thread giving me flashbacks to pre-election politards and the most free money of all time. Was a simpler time.

There are so many ways this fight can go. It literally can't go past second round.

1. Conor gets lucky KO in 12 seconds.

2. Floyd gets lucky KO in 12 seconds

3. Floyd dances the first round and gases Conor, KO him to end second round.

4. Conor leg kicks floyd in head and a brawl ensues in ring.

Odds down to -600 most places

No clue where this $ is coming from, public $ doesn't really move lines 2.5 months before the fight.

I can't see Floyd taking a rigged L for reasons already stated but jfc...

Black bears are actually passive, docile animals.

reddit continues to deliver (spotted these randomly, it's not me):

The most dangerous people to fight are experts and absolute beginners. Like you said, its incredibly weird and off putting when people dont do what they are "supposed" to do.
I think its just because so much of striking is about predicting and anticipating your opponent. Because new people do weird ****, you definitely need to warm up to them more than you would someone who is considerably better than they are.

This is talked about quite a bit in poker where it seems like every year you get a total amateur at the final table along with guys that have been playing for many years. The professionals know what their counterparts should be thinking, they know the spots to bluff strong or limp weak for really good professionals. The amateur comes in and decides to go all-in on a deuce seven and it throws everything off. You can't be as confident in your normal play because the untrained guy is liable to make a stupid play that comes out of nowhere and catches you.

would not chalk that up as reddit delivering

A no contest means possibly a KO which is entertaining.

when 100% of the bets being taken are on mcgregor it will. or at least according to the local radio sports show I was listening to earlier, that is how the money is coming in.

not sure when wise guys would get involved on mayweather's side if at all, but most likely right before the fight if the line continues to plummet to a low point.

May be a hot take but I think for however long this fight goes it has a chance to be entertaining. Almost like when Forrest Griffin fought Anderson Silva where Forrest kept trying to hit Silva but Silva just kept dodgin then landing shots like this

Im still rooting for the McGregor miracle but if hes gonna be destroyed id prefer that route.

The right move by a smart book would be to offer like +1000 on Conor while all these other books are taking lower amounts. Then you will get all the action and make a lot more money instead of having it spread around.

Since Mayweather can only lose if the fight is actually rigged or he gets hurt in a fluke (like broken hand or slips in the ring or something similar) its not very risky.
