While in the end it means nothing, people ITT seem to discount that Conor also competes in a combat sport. I disagree, I don't think Floyd can put Conor away in the 1st even if he wanted too. I think Conor can last at least until the 4-6th. No doubt Floyd is going to teach him a boxing lesson and hit him whenever he pleases, while easily avoiding incoming punches. I also don't think FM will straight up knock Conor out, but rather the fight will be stopped from a flurry of punches that go undefended. I think that is probably the most likely outcome, but who knows if Floyd is fighting very passive and cautiously, the fight could easily go all 12 and Mayweather would just win by points. Similar to what he did to Manny. He will get in and get out, and just out box Mcgregor and make him frustrated. Conor can take some punishment though, and Floyd doesn't exactly have "Power". It's not like Conor is going to give up easily either, I think he will truly put his all into the fight, but sadly that isn't going to be enough against an opponent like FM, even if he is past his prime and 40+ years old.

Conor McGregor is a unicorn as they say. They said he had no chance against a high level wrestler and he correctly predicted he'd butcher him from the ground and stand up and KO him.

Also hadn't been beat in a decade and he turned around and knocked him out in 13 seconds.

He's going to come into the fight confident as hell and he's going to shock the world. He's one of those few athletes you just don't want to bet against. I personally think he stops Floyd and turns the boxing world upside down in a frenzy. And when he does, he will go down as the greatest athlete in the history of sports.

Conor trains boxing though as part of his mma training & it's clearly his best asset, can't say it's too different sports as if he doesn't make a living off his hands.

Take Anderson Silva in his prime & let him face the best muay thai kickboxer in his weight, i give him a shot. Take Gsp vs best wrestler in his weight class & i give him a shot. Just because you're an mma guy doesn't mean you can't compete in other sports when you're clearly good at it.
