Seriously. You can't be our rival when you can't beat Flabucki this epoch and you can't win the division let alone the conference.

Didn't we beat your rape enabling embarrassment of a school by like 40 points last year?

Dude, flabucki holds the high ground on you. It's so bad, he doesn't even use the vowels when referring to your squad. straight 🔥

Lane Kiffin making deals with the devil. It was already pretty scummy that he had one Briles family member on the staff and now (informally) Art too? Gross. I'm sure Lane doesn't give a **** because he's probably only going to be there one year and then be hired at ole miss or something

Is Jay Paterno a consultant yet?

Heard this on the radio....

The "Blue Chip Ratio" is the ratio of 4- and 5-star recruits on a college football roster. For every year in the last 20, the eventual national champion had a Blue Chip Ratio over 50%.

There are 10 schools that qualify heading into the 2017 season.

Alabama 80%
Ohio State 71%
LSU 65%
Florida State 65%
Georgia 63%
USC 63%
Michigan 61%
Auburn 59%
Clemson 56%
Notre Dame 56%

An oddsmaker hypothetically puts the Blue Chip teams at -500, the field at +355

Mark Richt's average as the UGA head coach is 51%.

Kirby is at 75% after 2 years. Me likey

OSU and Alabama have to be historical aberrations. I don't think anyone was recruiting like that 15+ years ago. Recruiting has gone much more national for the top programs.

Don't listen to the haters. Penn State is absolutely a rival to Michigan. They are a program with the same aspirations as us with the tradition and infrastructure to pull it off, located in the same conference and now in the same division. They're what I would call a natural rival. Ohio State and Notre Dame are also natural rivals (Michigan vs ND 2018!! Get ready now!!). The fact that we beat Penn State 59-10 last year--or whatever the score was--and the fact that we'll probably beat them again by a similar score is not relevant. Since Derrick Alexander's tone setting clutch punt return and the greatest goal line stance in the history of the Big Ten this game has been HUGE.

J/K lololololol Penn State ever being our rival. We're Michigan, They're Penn State.
08-23-2017 , 02:04 PM
Who wins a conference title first? Michigan or UGA?
08-23-2017 , 02:05 PM
Probably Michigan but only because lol big ten

Remember last year when Auburn did a quarterback carousel with 3 different quarterbacks getting time vs. Clemson? Yeh, Florida might be doing the same thing lololololol

If I ever have to watch Luke Del Rio throw another pass in a Florida uniform, I honestly might just go on an alcoholic bender wearing my Tebow jersey reminiscing about the good ole days.

Much like I imagine schu does every weekend

FSU had a 18/22 (82%) blue-chip class in 2002. Rivals doesn't show older than 2001, but I'd imagine those classes were also elite b/c Bowden was always an amazing recruiter and they were coming off a national title in 1999.

USC in the early-mid 2000s was doing what Bama does now.
08-24-2017 , 10:36 AM
USC had the number one class 7 years in a row?
08-24-2017 , 10:58 AM
I didn't say that, did I? We're talking about the percentage of four and five star players. USC put up some very high numbers during that time. Some of their classes weren't very big, either, and class size boosts overall rankings.

I would have to say that anyone who doesn't recall the overall level of talent Carroll-era USC was pulling probably wasn't paying attention.
08-24-2017 , 11:13 AM
just using rivals because it's easier on my phone - usc star average in each class from 2004-10

4.05, 3.68, 3.67, 4.22, 3.89, 3.94, 4.17

i don't know if anybody has surpassed their 4.22 in 2007

Really I would have thought Richt's average was over that, shows how much I've paid attention to UGA recruiting. Though he managed to fairly consistently have decent-to-good QBs during his tenure there. Speaking of QBs whatever happened to Aaron Murray? Too short? I know he got drafted but can't remember who took him or when.
