if true, they just announced chargers will play in San Diego next year

awkward

I really don't understand people thinking fans should follow their team if they move. If your girl leaves you for someone else you don't follow her ffs. Especially when torching you on the way out (stan did this with st.louis in that report) or balt to indy colts or browns to ravens style though too many people get emotionally attached to a football team that doesn't give a **** about any of them in return but we're all dumb on that one.

That letter reeks of bull****. Seems like the Chargers are just waiting it out and making sure they choose the best option.

Would be funny if Chargers got wind of the Vegas option and said why not us?

Those guys are a couple of ambulance chasers and are not a big firm like Thomas Copurn or Bryan Cave.

Spanos' family had always put the league first, and now Kroenke had declared that if it were necessary to take on a second team, the Chargers would be relegated to a tenant, junior-partner status. Kroenke considered his invitation to be sincere. He had extended a hand as far as he could, given the agreement between Spanos and Davis for Carson.

Looks like Chargers are really trying to stay in San Diego. Not surprising with the terrible Rams deal the NFL offered.

Raiders to LV looking very possible. Keeping league approval might be tough though.

Quote:
Raiders owner Mark Davis says he wants to move the team to Las Vegas and is willing to spend a half billion dollars as part of a deal for a new stadium in the city.

Davis upped the ante in a bid to move the team to this gambling city, appearing Thursday alongside soccer great David Beckham and billionaire casino owner Sheldon Adelson before a committee studying the idea of a $1.4 billion stadium.

He told committee members he is not a billionaire but will put $500 million -- with $200 million of that coming from an NFL loan -- into funding the stadium to move the team to Las Vegas.

Jerry Jones said yesterday he will support Raiders move to LV, stating "the entertainment aspect outweighs gambling concerns."

I think this is about 90% go.

That was just a PR move that in reality was an awful deal for the city of San Diego. They didn't need to open up a new site, they needed to bulldoze Qualcomm and play in Petco for a couple years while it was getting built. Spanos had over a decade to work something out, but he wanted everyone to foot more of the bill than they were willing.

And, lol that proposal only happened after he put everyone on notice he wanted to move to LA the year prior. He already knew he was burned in SD.

Good riddance loser owner
